"The love of family is life's greatest blessing."

Ruhanika

"Di, I think we need to add baking powder now," Samrat said, squinting at the recipe for the cake we were making.

"Okay, Vir, get me the baking powder," I said to Viraat while whisking the batter. He nodded and came back with a box, just as I was about to add it, Nandita snatched it from him.

"Wait! This is salt," she exclaimed, making me glare at him. Viraat smiled nervously, scratching the back of his head.

The batter looked nothing like the one in the video. Knowing how bad everyone here was at cooking, it wasn't a big surprise.

"I think we should add more milk to it," Samrat suggested, and before I could stop him, he poured a whole glass into the mixture. Now it was all runny.

Everyone glared at him, and he smiled nervously. I shot him a sharp look before heading to the cabinet to get some all-purpose flour. As I tiptoed to reach it, the container slipped and fell, covering me in flour from head to toe. Laughter erupted around the room, including from Arjun Bhaisa, who had just walked in.

"Looking good, little one!" Arjun Bhaisa teased, chuckling.

"Very funny," I muttered, shaking off the flour. Feeling a mix of embarrassment and mischievousness, I grabbed an egg and aimed it at Arjun Bhaisa. It hit him square on the shoulder.

"Oh, you're going to pay for that!" he declared, grabbing an egg himself.

Before I knew it, Arjun Bhaisa retaliated by tossing the egg back at me. I ducked, and the egg hit Samrat instead. "Hey!" Samrat yelled, reaching for a handful of flour to throw back at Arjun Bhaisa.

The kitchen quickly descended into chaos. Nandita threw a spoonful of batter at Viraat, who dodged and flung some back, hitting Samrat instead. Samrat, now covered in batter and flour, laughed and grabbed a handful of icing to smear on Nandita's cheek.

"Oh, it's on now!" Nandita shouted, reaching for the chocolate syrup.

Within moments, everyone was involved in the food fight. Flour, eggs, batter, and various other ingredients were flying everywhere. Laughter and playful shouts filled the air as we all got caught up in the fun.

Just then, the door swung open, and Dev walked in, taking in the chaotic scene with wide eyes. "What is going on here?" he demanded, his voice stern but unable to hide the hint of amusement in his eyes.

Everyone froze, ingredients mid-air, and looked at Dev. Covered in flour, eggs, and chocolate, we must have been quite a sight.

"Uh, we were... trying to bake a cake," I said, giggling as I wiped a smudge of icing from my cheek.

Dev sighed and shook his head, but his lips curled into a smile. "Alright, clean this up!"

I couldn't resist the mischievous urge bubbling inside me. Grinning, I picked up another egg and tossed it at Dev. It hit him on the chest, cracking open and dripping down his shirt.

For a moment, everyone held their breath, waiting for his reaction. Dev looked down at the egg, then back at me. His expression shifted from surprise to playful determination. "Oh, you shouldn't have done that, Rooh," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.

With that, he grabbed a handful of flour and flung it at me, laughing. The kitchen erupted into even more chaos as Dev joined in the fun, grabbing a whisk and flicking batter at everyone.

"You're in for it now!" Arjun Bhaisa shouted, aiming a spoonful of whipped cream at Dev.

The food fight escalated, with Dev at the center, laughing and dodging as everyone hurled ingredients at each other. The room was a mess, but no one cared. The laughter and camaraderie made it all worth it.
