As the afternoon sun streamed through the windows, Savi and Isha Maa sat together in the cozy room, surrounded by the warm glow of the TV. Savi's fingers moved gently through Isha Maa's hair, massaging her scalp with a soothing touch. The two women were deep in conversation, their voices hushed as they shared secrets and gossip.
Isha Maa, always the friend rather than just a mother figure, leaned in with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Savi, beta, tell me... what was the wedding night like?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Savi's cheeks flushed, and she playfully rolled her eyes. "Maa, aap bhi na! You're asking me about this?" she teased, laughing.
Isha Maa chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Arre, I'm just curious, beta! You know I'm like a friend to you, not just a mother-in-law."
Savi smiled, her expression softening. "Maa, you know I married Rajat for Sai's sake... not just for love or romance, also last day was so disrupting. You know right Kiaan is back. Rajat's son."
Savi's words hung in the air, and the atmosphere in the room suddenly became tense.
Isha Maa's expression changed, her eyes widening in surprise. "What? How can you think of it, Savi? Rajat brought Kiaan , his son home last night, and you're telling me you married him for Sai's sake?" she asked, her voice laced with concern and a hint of disapproval.
Savi's eyes dropped, and she nodded slowly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I know it's complicated, Maa. But We both me and Rajat agreed to marry to provide Sai a home. No expectations. "
Isha Maa's face was etched with worry, and she reached out to take Savi's hand. "Savi, beta, I understand that you want the best for Sai, but marrying someone for the sake of your husband child... it's not an easy decision. Are you sure you're ready for this?" she asked, her voice filled with empathy and concern.
" Haa Maa, Sai is my daughter now, and I will try to give my love equally to Kiaan too. He is suffering so much because of his mother's bad decision."
Isha Maa's eyes narrowed slightly, her expression turning curious. "Yes, I want to ask you about that. What was the matter? Why did Rajat bring Kiaan home so suddenly?" she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of suspicion.
Savi's eyes darted around the room, as if searching for an escape route. She hesitated for a moment before she could say. Her voice dropped to a whisper, and she glanced around the room nervously, as if afraid of being overheard. "Kiaan's mother... I mean, Rajat's ex-wife, Aashika... she killed Arsh," she lied, her words barely audible.
Isha Maa's eyes widened in shock, and she covered her mouth with her hand. "Oh, beta... what are you saying?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
Savi's eyes clouded over, and she nodded slowly. "It's true, Maa. Aashika was... unstable. And she hurt Arsh. Kiaan was there, he saw everything... and now he's so traumatized."
Isha Maa's face paled, and she looked like she had been punched in the gut. She took a deep breath, trying to process the shocking revelation. "Oh, Savi... poor Kiaan. And Rajat... he must be going through so much."
Savi's eyes filled with tears, and she nodded. "Yes, Maa. That's why I have to be strong for Kiaan... and for Sai. They need me now more than ever."
Savi's voice cracked as she spoke, her emotions raw and exposed. "Maa, that child is so little to suffer like this. And when I heard about the scene... I could remember the way I lost Ishaan. The pain, the trauma... it all came flooding back."
Isha Maa's expression softened, and she reached out to take Savi's hand. "Beta, I'm so sorry. I had no idea it was that bad. Losing a loved one is never easy, but for a child to witness something so traumatic... it's unbearable."
