Rajat's room was dimly lit, the only sound the clinking of ice in his whiskey glass.
He poured himself another drink, his mind racing.
Savi's words echoed: "You're suffocating Sai's childhood!"
Rajat's anger simmered, but beneath it, a deeper pain stirred.
Ashika's face haunted him – her smile, her laughter, her deceit.
He remembered the day he discovered her infidelity.
The betrayal cut deep, leaving scars.
Rajat's grip on the glass tightened.
He took a swig, feeling the burn.
"Savi thinks she's so perfect," Rajat muttered.
"But she knows nothing. She is just forcing her empty motherhood on my little daughter."
His thoughts darkened.
"Ashika, Savi – all women are the same. Cheap and full of deceit."
Rajat's eyes blurred, his vision foggy.
The room spun.
He stumbled, almost dropping the glass.
Tara's concerned voice came from the doorway.
"Rajat, enough. You're drunk."
Rajat glared.
"Mind your own business, Tara."
Rajat's mind reeled, Savi's words echoing louder:
"You're suffocating Sai's childhood!"
He slumped on the bed, whiskey glass still clutched.
"I know what's best for my daughter, she is my daughter not that neighbour's so she was dictating me." Rajat muttered.
But doubt crept in.
Does he really?
Ashika's betrayal still lingered.
What if he's failing Sai?
Rajat's thoughts swirled.
Savi's accusations:
"You're crushing Sai's spirit!"
Rajat's anger flared.
How dare Savi question him?
But beneath the anger, a nagging voice whispered:
What if Savi's right?
Rajat's grip on the glass tightened.
"No," he growled. "I know what's best."
Tara's gentle voice came from the doorway. Rajat came out trying to leave but Tara said, "Rajat I understand you but for god sake. Go and sleep now."
Rajat's gaze snapped toward her.
"You don't understand, Tara."
Tara's expression softened.
"Try to see things from Sai perspective. She needs love and savi was giving her, that's why it is all happening."
Rajat's face twisted.
"Savi just wants to meddle."
Rajat stumbled out of his house, whiskey-fueled anger coursing through his veins.
He reached Savi's house, banging on the door.
Savi's voice came from inside.
"Who is it?"
