As Kiaan pulled Savi towards the door, Bhagyashree stood tall, her eyes narrowing into a piercing stare. She fixed Aashika with the worst possible look, her expression a perfect blend of disdain and disgust.
Aashika, taken aback by Bhagyashree's hostility, shifted uncomfortably on her feet. Her smile faltered, and she looked away, avoiding Bhagyashree's intense gaze.
The air was thick with tension as the two women faced off, their animosity palpable. Savi, sensing the unease, tried to intervene, but Bhagyashree's stern expression warned her to stay back.
As Kiaan and Savi stepped out, Aashika's eyes locked onto Kiaan, a saccharine smile spreading across her face. She reached out and ruffled Kiaan's hair, her voice dripping with sweetness.
"Beta, let Mumma go. You will stay here," Aashika cooed, her eyes glinting with a possessiveness that made Savi's skin crawl.
Kiaan's face scrunched up in confusion, and he looked up at Savi uncertainly. Savi's heart skipped a beat as she realized Aashika's intentions. She was trying to drift Kiaan away from them!
When savi looked her more carefully, her eyes widened as she stood frozen, her mind racing with the connection she had just made. Aashika, the woman standing in front of her, was the same woman she had encountered on the road a few days... no, wait, it was almost a month ago.
Savi's thoughts swirled as the pieces fell into place. The man Kiaan had killed was the same man who had come to take Aashika from the hospital. The same man who had been harassing Aashika, and whom Kiaan had protected her from. And the guy whom she talk on phone was indeed Rajat. That's what she thought even at that time.
Savi's eyes locked onto Aashika's face, searching for any sign of recognition, but Aashika's expression remained serene, unaware of the connection Savi had just made.
Aashika's eyes met Savi's, and she smiled sweetly, her voice dripping with politeness. "Hello, Savi. I'm so sorry to intrude, but my son was adamant that I come here. I hope you don't mind."
Savi's expression remained neutral, her eyes narrowing slightly as she regarded Aashika's words. She didn't believe Aashika's apology for a second; there was something insincere about her tone.
"It's okay," Savi replied curtly, her voice firm but polite. "Kiaan is excited to see you. But maybe we should talk about why you're really here."
Aashika's smile faltered for a moment, before she regained her composure. "Oh, of course, Savi. I'd be happy to talk."
Savi's eyes locked onto Aashika's, her tone polite but direct. "Till when are you staying here?" she asked, her words devoid of any filters.
Aashika's smile faltered, and she shifted uncomfortably on her feet. The question caught her off guard, and for a moment, she struggled to respond.
"Uh, I...I hadn't thought that far ahead," Aashika stammered, her eyes darting around the room as if searching for an escape.
Savi's gaze remained steady, her expression unreadable. She waited for Aashika to elaborate, her silence making Aashika even more uncomfortable.
Aashika's words tumbled out in a rush, her voice laced with a hint of desperation. "I'll leave as soon as I find a place to live. I promise I won't let my presence cause any problems in your and Rajat life because of me."
Savi's expression remained skeptical, her eyes narrowing slightly as she regarded Aashika's promise. She wasn't convinced that Aashika's words were genuine, but she chose not to press the issue further... for now.
