As soon as the door swung open, Savi's eyes scanned the room, searching for her little one. But her gaze landed on Aashika's smiling face instead.

Savi's expression faltered, her face dropping at the sight of Rajat's ex-wife. She had been looking forward to reuniting with Sai all day, and now she had to bear this women.

Sai's giggles echoed from the living room, and Savi's eyes lit up. "Sai!" she exclaimed, rushing towards the sound. Aashika stepped aside, allowing Savi to pass.

Rajat followed closely behind, his eyes meeting Aashika's. The air was thick with unspoken tension.

Sai squealed with delight, wrapping her tiny arms around Savi's neck. "Pari mumma! Me, kiaan bhaiya and Aashika mumma did so much of fun!" she chanted, showering Savi's face with kisses.

Aashika mumma! She felt pain in her heart. She just went for one day and this lady use the opportunity to get close to her daughter.

"Mere Bachchen ne mujhe miss nahi Kiya ( My daughter didnt miss me?)", Savi whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. Sai nodded vigorously, her pigtails bouncing with each movement.

Aashika stepped forward, her smile plastered on her face. "Savi slept so peacefully. I didn't leave her and kiaan alone even for a minute," she said, her tone dripping with sweetness.

Savi's gaze met Aashika's, a hint of wariness in her eyes. "You are a guest, Aashika. You shouldn't stress yourself for my daughter. Me and Sai's Dadi are enough to take care of her, and where is mummy ji though?" Savi said, her tone firm but polite.

Aashika's smile faltered for a moment, before she regained her composure. "Oh, I wasn't stressing myself, dear. I just wanted to help, and mummy ji went to her maternal home as there is some emergency and you werent here. So i asked her that I will take care. After all both of the kids are my children." she said, her voice laced with a hint of innocence.

Savi's eyes lingered on Aashika, her expression unreadable. It was clear she wasn't buying Aashika's act.

Savi's face paled momentarily, but she composed herself quickly. "Yes, your children, but sai, she is my responsibility and my daughter. So, stay away," she said, her voice firm.

Then, Savi's demeanor shifted, and she turned to Sai with a bright smile. "Sai beta, let Mumma make you favorite dish... How does that sound?" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Sai's face lit up, and she nodded enthusiastically, "Yes, Mumma! I love it when you cook!"

Aashika's expression turned icy, her eyes flashing with annoyance.

" But Pari mumma, my tummy is full! Aashika mumma made a very yummy pasta."  Savi's eyes widened slightly, her heart skipping a beat as she processed Sai's words. "Aashika mumma?" she repeated, her voice measured.

Aashika's smirk grew, her eyes glinting with triumph. "Oh, yes. Sai , kiaan and I had a lovely time together while you were away. We made pasta, and she loved it," she said, her tone dripping with sweetness.

Savi's gaze flicked to Rajat, her expression questioning. Rajat's eyes met hers, but he said nothing, his face neutral.

Sai, oblivious to the tension, nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, Mumma! Aashika Mumma's pasta was yummy!"
