Bhagyashree stood outside the room, her brow furrowed with worry. She had called out to Savi several times, but there was no response. Dinner was ready, and she was starting to get concerned.

She slowly opened the door and peeked inside. The room was quiet, except for the soft sound of breathing. Bhagyashree's eyes adjusted to the dim light, and she saw Savi and Sai sleeping peacefully, wrapped in each other's arms.

A warm smile spread across Bhagyashree's face as she gazed at the mother-daughter duo. She instinctively raised her hand to ward off any evil eye that might be cast upon them.

Bhagyashree's expression changed from calm to concern as she felt the heat radiating from Savi and Sai's bodies. She quickly placed her hand on their foreheads, and her worry deepened. They were burning with fever.

She immediately sprang into action, rushing to get cold compresses and medicine. She gently woke Savi up, who was disoriented and groggy.

"Savi, beta, wake up! You and Sai both have high fever," Bhagyashree said, trying to keep her voice calm.

Savi's eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at Bhagyashree with a confused expression. "Maa...Sai?" she whispered, her voice weak.

Bhagyashree nodded, helping Savi sit up. "Sai is right here, beta. We need to get you both to the doctor, or maybe even the hospital."
Savi shook her head that she is fine. Take Sai to doctor.

Bhagyashree's expression turned stern, her eyes narrowing with concern. "Savi, don't be stubborn, beta. You're burning with fever, and Sai is no better. We need to get you both medical attention, now."

Savi tried to shake off the weakness, but her body felt heavy, her head spinning. She knew her mother was right, but she didn't want to be a bother. "Maa, please...I'll be fine. Just give me some medicine, and I'll rest."

Bhagyashree sighed, her face etched with worry. "Savi, listen to me. I'll call Dr. Sharma, and we'll get you both checked out. No arguments, beta."
She nodded.

Bhagyashree nodded, relief washing over her face. "Good, beta. I'll go call the doctor. You just rest and take care of Sai."

Savi nodded weakly, snuggling Sai closer to her. She felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her, and her eyelids began to droop.

As Bhagyashree hurried out of the room to make the call, Savi whispered softly to Sai, "Maa will take care of us, beta. Don't worry..."

Just as Bhagyashree was dialing the doctor's number, the sound of the front door opening echoed through the house. Rajat walked in, looking tired from a long day at work.

Bhagyashree's expression turned serious as she quickly filled Rajat in on the situation. "Rajat, Savi and Sai are both running high fevers. I was just about to call Dr. Sharma."

Rajat's face clouded with concern as he rushed towards the bedroom. "How are they?" he asked, his voice laced with worry.

Bhagyashree followed close behind, her eyes fixed on Rajat's back. "Savi's trying to downplay it, but I can see she's really unwell. And Sai's just a child, she doesn't understand what's happening."

Rajat pushed open the bedroom door, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Savi and Sai. His face softened as he took in the sight of the two people he loved most in the world, lying vulnerable and ill in bed.

Rajat swiftly moved into action, his face set with determination. "I'll get cold water and bandages right away," he said, already heading towards the door.

Bhagyashree nodded, her eyes never leaving Savi and Sai. "Hurry, Rajat. They need it ASAP."

Rajat rushed out of the room, returning moments later with a bowl of cold water, bandages, and a thermometer. He quickly began to tend to Savi and Sai, gently placing cold compresses on their foreheads and wrists.

Savi weakly opened her eyes, a faint smile on her lips as she saw Rajat beside her. "Rajat..." she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Rajat's face softened as he took Savi's hand in his, his eyes filled with concern. "I'm here, Savi. You and Sai are going to be okay."

" Rajat... Sai..."

Rajat nodded, carefully lifting Sai into his arms. "Don't worry, Savi. I'll take care of Sai. You just focus on getting better."

Savi's eyes followed Rajat as he carried Sai to another bed, her heart aching with love and concern for her daughter. She knew she had to prioritize Sai's health, even if it meant being apart from her for a little while.

As Rajat settled Sai into the other bed, he turned back to Savi. "You're not alone in this, Savi. We'll take care of both of you together."

Savi smiled weakly, feeling a surge of gratitude towards Rajat. His words were a balm to her frazzled nerves, and she knew that with him by her side, she could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Rajat gently sat beside Savi, his fingers deftly unwrapping the bandages to check on her fever. Savi winced slightly as he touched her skin, but Rajat's gentle hands soothed her.

As he reapplied the cold compresses, Savi's eyes drifted towards the other bed, where Bhagyashree was tenderly caring for Sai. She smiled weakly, feeling grateful for the love and support surrounding her and her daughter.

Rajat noticed Savi's gaze and followed it to Sai's bed. "Maa is taking good care of her," he reassured Savi, his voice soft. "You just focus on getting better."

Savi nodded, her eyes returning to Rajat's face. She felt a sense of comfort and security with him by her side, and she knew that she could trust him to take care of her and Sai.

Rajat's eyes met Savi's, and he could see the pleading in her gaze. Without a word, he reached out and gently took her hand in his.

Savi's fingers intertwined with Rajat's, and she felt a surge of comfort and reassurance. She closed her eyes, letting the warmth of his hand seep into her skin.

Rajat's grip on her hand tightened slightly, and he whispered softly, "I'm here, Savi. I'm not going anywhere."

Savi's eyelids fluttered open, and she looked up at Rajat, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Rajat," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

As they sat there, hands entwined, the tension and worry of the moment seemed to melt away, replaced by a sense of peace and connection.

Rajat's eyes locked onto Savi's, and he could see the vulnerability and fear lurking in their depths. He squeezed her hand reassuringly.

"I won't leave you, Savi," he promised, his voice low and soothing. "I'll stay right here with you tonight."

Savi's face relaxed, and she nodded weakly, a small smile on her lips. Rajat helped her settle in, adjusting the pillows and blankets to make her more comfortable.

As the night wore on, Rajat sat beside Savi, holding her hand and watching over her as she drifted in and out of sleep. He could feel her feverish warmth, and his heart ached with concern for her and Sai.

But for now, he was exactly where he needed to be – by Savi's side, taking care of her.
