The darkness of the night enveloped the room, the only sound the soft hum of the air conditioner. Rajat lay on his back, his arms covering his eyes, his mind racing with thoughts. Savi slept peacefully beside him, her gentle breathing a stark contrast to the turmoil brewing inside Rajat.
He couldn't shake off the feeling of helplessness that had settled in his chest. Savi's nightmares, her traumatic past, it all weighed heavily on his mind. He felt like he was walking on eggshells, unsure of how to navigate this fragile, emotional landscape.
As he lay there, lost in thought, Rajat felt a subtle movement beside him. Savi stirred in her sleep, her body instinctively seeking comfort. Without realizing it, she snuggled into Rajat's side, her head resting on his shoulder.
Rajat's arms instinctively wrapped around her, holding her close. He felt a lump form in his throat as he gazed down at Savi's peaceful face. In this moment, he knew he'd do anything to protect her, to keep her safe from the demons that haunted her.
As the night wore on, Rajat lay there, holding Savi, his heart heavy with emotion. He knew that this was just the beginning, that there would be more challenges ahead. But for now, in this quiet, midnight moment, he was content to simply hold her, to be there for her.

As the first light of dawn crept into the room, Savi slowly opened her eyes. She was met with the familiar sight of Rajat's sleeping form, his arms still wrapped around her from the night before. For a moment, she simply lay there, taking in the warmth and comfort of his presence.
But as she became more aware, Savi's thoughts began to wander. She realized that she was getting accustomed to waking up in Rajat's arms, to feeling his warmth and protection. A pang of unease settled in her chest as she thought about how dependent she had become on Ishaan in the past.
The memory of Ishaan's departure still lingered, a painful reminder of how lost and broken she had felt. Savi knew she couldn't afford to repeat that pattern. She needed to maintain some distance, some detachment from Rajat.
Savi gently extricated herself from Rajat's arms. She slid out of bed, trying not to disturb him, and began to get ready for the day. As she moved around the room, Savi felt a sense of resolve settle in. She would make sure to keep her emotions in check, to not get too caught up in the comfort and security that Rajat offered.
But as she caught a glimpse of Rajat's sleeping form, Savi's heart skipped a beat. She felt a flutter in her chest, a sense of longing that she couldn't quite shake off. Savi's determination wavered for a moment, and she wondered if she was fooling herself by thinking she could keep her emotions at bay.
Savi's eyes narrowed as she gazed at her reflection in the mirror. She could see the faintest glimmer of attraction in her own eyes, and it made her feel uneasy. With a sudden burst of determination, Savi slapped her own cheek, the sting of the slap jolting her back to reality.
"Focus, Savi!" she hissed at herself, her voice barely above a whisper. "You know why you're feeling this way. It's just because Rajat confessed his feelings. That's all. Otherwise, you hadn't felt an ounce of attraction towards him just a few days back."
Savi took a deep breath, trying to shake off the lingering feelings of attraction. She reminded herself of her resolve to maintain some distance from Rajat, to not get too caught up in his charms.

Savi walked out of her room, getting ready for the day, and was greeted by the sight of Kiaan and Sai standing in the hallway, dressed in their school uniforms. She couldn't help but smile at the sight of her adorable kids.
"Today, Mumma will drop you both to school," Savi announced, trying to sound cheerful. "Why should Papa always drop you? It's my turn today."
Just as Kiaan and Sai started to excitedly chatter about their day, Bhagyashree walked into the hallway, a curious expression on her face.
"Are you going somewhere, Savi?" Bhagyashree asked, eyeing Savi's partially ready state.
Savi's smile faltered for a moment, and she hesitated before responding... Just as Savi was about to respond to Bhagyashree's question, Rajat appeared from behind, a charming smile spreading across his face.
"I can drop all of you, you know," Rajat said, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he gazed at Savi and the kids.
Savi's heart skipped a beat as she met Rajat's gaze. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her mind went back to the resolve she had made just a little while ago - to maintain some distance from Rajat.
But before she could respond, Sai excitedly chimed in, "Yay! Papa and mumma both will drop us!"
Rajat's smile faltered for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly as he gazed at Savi. But Savi shook her head, her expression firm. "No, really, Rajat. We'll be fine. You have a long day ahead of you, and I don't want you to be late."
Rajat's eyes searched Savi's face, as if trying to read her thoughts. For a moment, they just stood there, locked in a silent understanding. Then, Rajat still not giving up, his smile returning. "Okay, but we both can drop them..."
Savi's eyes widened slightly, her expression softening. "No, Rajat, really, it's okay..." she trailed off, but Rajat was already walking beside her, matching his stride to hers.
As they reached the door, Rajat opened it for Savi, his eyes meeting hers. "I'll at least see you off to the car," he said, his voice low and gentle.
Savi felt a flutter in her chest, but she didn't protest further. Instead, she nodded, her eyes dropping to the floor as she stepped out into the bright morning sunlight.
As they walked, Kiaan and Sai skipped ahead, chattering excitedly about their day. Rajat fell into step beside Savi, his eyes fixed on her profile.
"I can drop all of you," he repeated, his voice low and persuasive. "And we'll get some time alone. We can know each other more."
Savi's heart skipped a beat as she felt Rajat's gaze on her. She knew she should resist, maintain the distance she had vowed to keep. But Rajat's words sent a thrill through her, a spark of curiosity about what it would be like to spend more time with him.
" Savi are you Intimidated by me?" He said. Savi's eyes snapped to Rajat's, a hint of surprise and defensiveness flashing across her face. "Intimidated by you?" she repeated, her voice laced with a touch of mockery. "Why would I be intimidated by you, Rajat?"
Rajat's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, his gaze never leaving Savi's face. "I don't know," he said, his voice low and teasing. "Maybe because I'm your husband?"
