The group was gathered in Lawrences office again. Gally had convinced the leader to help the gladers, saying that with Thomas they would certainly succeed. Viya had been left out of their scheming, she felt betrayed but kept her mouth shut. There was no time for her feelings.

"So are we going to discuss a plan or just stand here and gawk at each other?" Nash asked.

Lawrence set down his coffee cup and looked at the teens, "If you want to get into the city, you'll need something–someone. And from what Gally here tells me, you don't like that someone."

Thomas avoided Lawrences gaze, his tongue planted in his cheek like an upset toddler.

"And who is this mysterious person?" Jeff asked.

Newt paused, "Teresa."

"What?! No way." Brenda said.

"There's no way we're getting her help, she's the reason we're even here in the first place!" Nash argued.

"I know it sounds terrible but she's our only hope." Gally countered.

"How are we even going to get her to help us? There's no way she's going to agree to betray WCKD." Frypan asked.

Gally smirked and laughed, "We weren't really going to ask her for permission."
"You're saying..." Jeff's voice trailed off.

"Yes, we're going to kidnap her."

"Wait–if we can't get into WCKD how are we going to kidnap her?"
"Oh, we got options." Lawrence said

The group soon began to frantically scribble down plans and ideas as Gally taught the others of the layout of the city. Ideas were being shouted around and a whiteboard had been brought in, and was already filled with Lawrence's messy handwriting.

"I say I take a few more people into the city and show them a basic layout so everyone is at least a little bit familiar with it."
"Great idea." Lawrence added it to the whiteboard.

Viya studied the steps that had been written down, and there seemed to be a lot of steps.

"How long is this going to take?" She asked Lawrence.

"Probably three...four weeks?" He guessed.

"Weeks!?!" She exclaimed, "You realize Minho is being tortured right now, we don't have weeks!" Viya shouted.

"Cool it Viya." Lawrence warned, "We have to be careful, a lot can go wrong and we want to do this correctly."
"Some of these steps are completely unnecessary! We could easily get Minho in four days if we tried." Viya
"Don't question my authority girl. I know what's right for this group and I'll make sure we do it safely."
"But-"
"You may be immune and forget the dangers of this world but guess what, the rest of us don't. You have always been reckless Viya and I can't risk it, not this time."
"If you'd just let me–!"
"That's enough out of you." Lawrence cut her off, "Come back when you've learned some respect."

Viya took a step back, looking at the man she had once thought would do anything to save the innocent. "Fine." She said, "See if you can do this mission without me."
Viya stormed out of the room, a trail of fury following her as she slammed the door behind her.

Viya paced around the compound, her footsteps being drowned out by the usual chaos of the base. Her face was red with anger as she muttered things under her breath. How dare Lawrence kick her out. She had been loyal to him for months, doing anything he asked without a second though. Yet the second she talked back he threw her to the curb.
