'Little Bird'

I am just a little bird flying out of the nest,
Trying to find my own home away from this mess,
As I was flying, I realised more and more how I missed this place.

No matter how far I fly and how far I soar,
I will always come back to the nest I once said goodbye before,
I know daddy bird would be worried but never asked 'Why?' cause he's shy, nothing more.

Mommy bird on the other hand always asked this and that,
Whether I've met my goal or that day I got myself fed?
She refused to say but she likes it when I'm home, I bet.

I have two other brother birds that in the nest when I'm up in the sky,
One brother bird follows my path while the other is learning how to fly,
One brother bird love me too much that whenever I'm away, he would cry.

The other birds rarely ask me to play along,
They go on an adventure and sing their own song,
I know I shouldn't be mad, but I just don't belong.

How I'm eager to tell mommy bird what happened that day,
But most times I just choose not to say,
No one would care. No one would anyway.

And here I am, three years have passed,
But still, in this flock, I feel outcast,
Like a fish out of water, a lion behind glass.

And now as a bird, I have to fly away,
From this place but I don't know which way,
I'm just afraid, I have to pay whatever I've done someday.

And now as a little birdy, one thought comes to mind,
Maybe I am aimless, so are other birds confined,
Well, as long as I'm breathing, I don't mind.
