'Maybe? Can We?'
Maybe it's the way you laugh,
Maybe it's the way your eyes speak to me,
Probably the way we joke that gets too rough,
Suddenly lighting a spark in my heart that I refuse to see.
This burning feeling for you that I couldn’t even fight,
When your voice becomes the melody to my melancholic days,
The one who soothes my nightmares today and every other night,
Maybe I’m already yours, what a lie to say.
Sailing a boat, trying to run away,
On God, I wish you were mine,
I need some space, to find a destination, or maybe just a way,
How could I, when you’re being this kind?
I can’t erase you from my head,
How your image burns in the back of my mind,
Your voice playing as music that drives me mad,
How you dress yourself so fine.
How can I run from you, when my demons possess your smile?
The constellations suddenly mark your name,
Everywhere I go just screams your style,
And your face on everyone I see, an excuse so lame.
For once, I hope it is me you'd look at,
The one you hold close to your heart,
The one you come to whenever you're sad,
The one you want to have a new start.
