'Crimson Bloodshed'

The blood from my chest covers the ground,
The siren screamed with screeching noise, deafening sound,
The people were running in circles all around,
Violets of my hands, striking the dogs and the hounds.

My eyes grew wild searching for a soul,
This land was filled with hatred and the stench so foul,
Your hand was the one I tried to hold,
Your warmth soothes me in this winter's cold.

The bloodshed wasn't worth the whole war,
They sat there with bore, as the deaths piled up more,
The peoples are tired, pain stabbed to their core,
The cowards who claimed they were lions, ended up with a silent roar.

Now the villains are saying goodbye,
Yet the game continues, I wonder why?
The heroes unfold their secrets and lies,
Building a throne that sits so high.

Our memories of garden catches the flames,
Their arson fueled with hatred and shame,
They point their fingers, seeking someone to blame,
To reclaim past glory and prior fame.

I promised you my love, in this letter of fate,
If we survive this one more time, even though it's too late,
I'll remember everything about you, I'll remember the date,
We'll meet once again, promise me, you'll wait.

Once again, we're back in war,
The rebels, the government and all of the gore,
The ruins where people had homes before,
Turned to ashes that were lost evermore.

I lost my peace, my safe and sound,
In lament I drown, solace never found,
Swimming in my sorrow, the weight pulled me down,
Surrounded by echoes that confound.

And when I thought it was all over,
There was your hand, resting gently on my shoulder,
My vision was blurry in a haze, though I was sober,
I thought it'd be night I'll lose my lover.

Yet despite the heartbreaks, despite all the hurt,
All of my nightmares were vivid and unblurred,
In this crimson land I found comfort,
As long as I'm here, you have my word.
