I awoke from my deep slumber only to groan at the day ahead. I turned off the annoying alarm beside my bed and sat up.
“Time for school,” I muttered sarcastically, “Joy!”
I threw my blankets off of my body and made my way to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth while I made my way to my closet and picked out a cheetah print tank top along with black skinny jeans and my black lace-up boots. I made way back to the bathroom and rinsed out my mouth before putting on the clothing. I brushed my wavy hair and left it natural. I quickly washed my face and dried it with a towel, I wore no make-up and I liked it that way.
I went to go grab my bag for school, before I remembered that I had not gone school shopping, which meant I had no school bag and no supplies.
“Great way to start the school year,” I sighed.
Might as well make the best of it, I thought.
I walked downstairs and pulled out an apple from the fridge. The grandfather clock in my living room said it was just 7am, but yesterday I decided it would be best to go early and know my way around the school.
With my car keys in hand, I locked my front door and made way to my beautiful baby in front of my house. Opening the driver’s door, I sighed remembering my father and I working on the car many years ago. A smile fell upon my face, as I jumped in and drove to school.
Once I was in the school’s parking lot, I noticed a few cars scattered around the student lot. That’s weird, who would want to be at school an hour before it started, I thought.
The few kids that were here looked at me with some amazement in their eyes, as if they’ve never seen a new kid. Well, since everyone knew each other they probably hadn’t. But nonetheless, they gawked at me as if I was an alien. Ignoring their glances I walked into the school building, looking for the Front Office to get my school schedule.
A slight flutter appeared in my stomach. This was the first school I had put my name as Viola Diamond. I knew the local pack went here, but secretly hoped I had no classes with any of them. I had lied to their Beta and a Newcomer in their pack and this was their land, I had no idea how they would take it despite who I was.
A blonde female looked at me from far away as I walked slowly though the hallway. I pretended not to notice, but as soon as I looked up to her I met her blue eyes. She flashed a grin and walked towards me. She wore a white top with a jacket along with jeans and converse.
“Hello, I’m Lilith,” she smiled as she held out her hand.
“Hi, I’m Viola,” I returned her smile.
“You're new here,” she stated, “Do you need help getting around?”
“I need to find the office,” I admitted. Sure, I could have used my senses to somehow lead me to the Front Office but then I would not get the chance to make new friends as I had planned.
“Well, just call me your tour guide of Riverdale High!” she said while making unnecessary hand gestures.
“I think I’m going to like you,” I laughed.
She shared my laugh as we walked in the near empty hallway. The nervousness in my stomach had disappeared, things were going well for just getting here.
While we walked, I spotted a guy in the distance and Lilith did as well. She turned to me with a smile on her face, “First day here, and you’ve already made two friends.”
I cocked an eyebrow at her to show my confusion.
“Daniel, come're!” she called out to the male in the distance. He was a little taller than Lilith, but not much. He had short brown hair and brown eyes with a smile plastered on his face as he approached Lilith.
