I’m Leaving
“Well, you’re the one standing in my bedroom,” I smirked, “So, I’m assuming you missed me, ‘darling’.”
A small smile placed itself on Claude’s face. He still stood by my doorway, not moving a step closer which made me a bit curious as to why. The sounds of children playing outside rang in my ears as I waited in silence for him to say something.
He wore a black shirt that complimented the muscles lying beneath that same shirt. Claude was skinny, but it was a skinny-muscular type that I found perfect. He wore dark jeans and those same black lace-up boots. His skin glowed as the rays of sunlight danced off of my bedroom floor and onto him, almost as if he were some god. His blue eyes invited me in to stay for however long I wanted.
I sat up in my bed and swung my legs over to the side of my bed so that they would be touching the floor. I felt his aroma but it wasn’t close enough for me. I wanted to be suffocated in his cold aroma, to have him all around me.
Slowly, I got up and walked to him. An interested look crossed Claude’s face as I did so, eyeing me as he waited for what I would do next. Once I was in front of him, never breaking our gaze, the corners of my lips turned up for whatever reason. My heart hammered away in my chest from being so close to him, as it always did.
“I’m sorry to cut this short,” I spoke, “But I need to go somewhere.”
I wanted to stay with Claude, everything in me told me to, but I needed to figure out this whole prophecy. I couldn’t even tell Claude what I was doing or where I was going because I know that surely he would stop me.
He looked at me a bit suspiciously, as if he were trying to see if I was lying. Suddenly he took a step closer, removing all space in between our bodies. He gently wrapped his arms around my waist as I instinctively wrapped mine around his neck. His eyes searched mine desperately for something, but I didn’t know exactly what he was looking for.
Slowly he inched his face forward to mine until his lips were softly put on mine for a sweet, short kiss. My inner wolf howled with satisfaction as he did so. As he pulled away a smile was left on his lips, not unwrapping his arms around my waist.
When he did unwrap his arms from me, a slight frown formed on my face as I had to unwrap myself from him as well. For a quick moment I had forgotten all about the prophecy and what I had to do. I stood there and gazed at Claude with such amazement and curiosity. Claude Blackmore made me feel things that I never thought possible.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw that it was around 3 in the afternoon which meant that I had to leave now if I wanted to be back by nightfall. Also if I didn’t want to get caught.
“I have to go now,” I spoke a bit awkwardly.
“Okay,” Claude’s voice came out a bit sad, “Where are you going?”
A smile placed itself on my face for whatever reason, “I’m leaving.”
Claude furrowed his brows a bit as worry crossed his face. I shook my head slightly at his reaction, since he didn’t know what I knew. I walked forward to him as he looked at me oddly. Placing my lips on his cold flesh exhilarated me and caught Claude a bit off guard. As I parted my lips from giving him a kiss on the cheek, a sweet smile found it’s way onto Claude face.
“Bye,” I spoke gently.
Without another word from Claude, I left him in my bedroom. I already had my keys and cell phone inside of my pocket so I didn’t really need to get anything besides money. Quickly I walked into my kitchen, to my secret hiding place, and grabbed one of my credit cards and rushed out of the house. I could smell that Claude was still upstairs and I could hear that he hadn’t moved an inch since I had abruptly left. I must have left him a bit dumbfounded which had me smirking.
Once inside my car, I reeved my engine and sped off. I drove through the streets of the town hoping not to be seen by any pack members or friends. There was no way anyone could know where I was going or what I was doing because surely that would cause trouble.
I drove fast until I was out of Riverdale and among the road that lead to the city that was about 30 minutes away. I parked my car on the side of the road and looked into the forest that was next to me. My heart quickened a bit as a bit of fear ran over me. The memories of the nightmare I had replayed in my mind along with the actual events I had experienced with the Chamberlain Clan. For a moment I thought I had seen two cold, hard, menacing blue eyes staring at me from the forest but I was sure it was my imagination.
The sun burned in through my windshield as I pulled out my cell phone and quickly glanced behind me at nothing. I dialed a number I knew could help me with where I was going. Slowly, the rings repeated themselves as I began to get a bit restless.
“Hello?” a deep voice spoke on the other side of the phone.
“Hey Marty,” I smiled, “I need you to help me out with something.”
“Jet time?” he questioned with a chuckle.
“Yes,” I spoke, “Meet me in the city in 40 minutes.”
