"That's mine" I gesture as the waiter places my food in front of me

"Thank you" Gloria says before he walks off

"Why'd you suggest we come here?" I ask her

She takes a sip of her wine "it's private and it's really nice"

"We have to hurry up though, don't want to leave Natalie for too long"

Not like I don't trust Justina....but you know

She nods and takes a bite of her food

"Courtney, I wanted to discuss something with you"

I raise my brows "what's that?"

She places her cutleries down "you know Eric's birthday is coming up, right?"

I nod "yeah, I do"

"I want to surprise him. He's been dull lately so I want to do something to brighten up his mood"

I nod slightly "that's nice, what do you have planned?"

"Well, Morgan said she's giving you guys a break to travel for the holiday"

"Yeah" I take a sip from my drink "should get back to her in two days"

"I was thinking you could show up for his birthday"

I choke on my drink, spewing it slightly

"Oh, I'm sorry!" She quickly hands me a napkin

I wipe my mouth "I should what? Gloria....."

"Don't you want to come home?"

I place the napkin down "of course I do, Gloria, but the Martinez?"

"It's just for him to see you and that's all, it shouldn't be more than 15 minutes. It's not even at his parents house, it's at his"

"15 minutes?? Gloria, I can't"

"Please, Courtney, you know you're the only person who can brighten his mood"

I let out a sigh, this can't be happening

"Just look at it as a trip back home"

"Oh my gosh" I place my head on my forehead

"Please"

I look up at her "I don't really know, I'll think about it"

Think about it? This was the Martinez we were talking about! I don't know what to say neither do I know how to feel. Seeing Eric again isn't something I thought I would do anytime soon..... I'm not even ready.

But I haven't been home in a year, what do I do?

"Miss Jones!" I turn to the entrance where Tiffany was waving at me from

I wave her down and she walks towards me table

"Thank you for agreeing to meet up with me" she grins, taking a sit where Gloria initially was

"Nah, it's alright. I was the one who brought up sewing for you. So, give me a rough idea of what you want"

She clears her voice "I don't really know. I initially had Miss Lee's design in mind"

"Hmm, so you want something stirring at that direction?"

She nods vigorously

"Alright then, I'm not really busy I don't think it'll take too long to make. Let's head to the bathroom so I can show you some styles and take your measurement"

"Alright" she says with a smile
