It's been a week already and a bit has happened so far. I was done with Tee's dress and I was on my way to give it to her at our agreed spot.
I told Morgan I wanted to go home for the holiday....yes, I finally agreed to go. She, along with Gloria were able to arrange for a private jet.
I really don't understand what they have again taking a normal economy class plane. Clinton's flight was scheduled for tomorrow and he was traveling to Peru. Everyone need to unwind.
I arrive at the spot where I was suppose to meet up with Tiffany. I check the time before I see her car pull up
"I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting, Miss Jones" she hurries towards me with a guy behind her
"There was a lot of traffic"
I sigh "it's fine" I hand her the box "here's your dress"
She squeals as I hand her the dress "thank you so so much" she immediately hugs me
"This is my fiance" she pulls away, introducing me to the guy that she came with
He stretches his hand towards me "Lovely to meet you, Miss Jones"
I shake his hand "same here. Congratulations on your wedding" I give him a small smile
"Thank you so much for making my wife so happy. I'm so grateful" he places a hand on his chest
His appreciation wasn't what brought a smile to my face, it was how he called her his wife even when they weren't yet married
"My pleasure"
"Oh you have to attend our wedding" she says excited "please, let me give you a special invite"
I pout "I'm so sorry, Tee, I have a trip to make to LA tomorrow morning....I have no idea when I'll be back"
Her shoulder drops "really?" She sighs "would have really loved to have you there, but present or not, I'll still make a toast to you"
I couldn't help the grin forming "I feel so honored" I place a hand on my chest
"No no, I feel honored for even getting a chance to meet you. You have no idea what it means to me"
"I'm really glad I could do something nice for. I have to get going now, have a lot of packing up to do"
She nods "yes of course. Thank you so so much, once again"
I shoot her a smile before heading to the car

"I sure as hell can't lift this suit case tomorrow"
Gloria waves it off "you won't have to do any lifting, don't worry"
I turn to her "why the private jet though? That cost a lot"
She sighs and stand to her feet
"My love, when you're popular, rich and in the public's eye, you have to be careful. Let me tell you something you haven't accepted yet, you may think you're still Courtney Jones, the young seamstress from LA....but you're not. You're Courtney Jones, the young fashion designer and one of the stars of the biggest fashion brands in the states. Your monthly salary is a yearly salary for most designers, so you can't be careless taking cabs and flying public planes"
Never thought of it like that
I pout "I wanna be ordinary again"
I was kidding.... ordinary me couldn't even afford an economy flight ticket.
She chuckles "too late for that" she walks up to my dress table and picks up her phone
"Oh my...my husband's been calling. Please, excuse me, Courtney" she heads out the room
I seat on my bed and pick up my phone. I don't know why I feel so scared about going home, it's not like anything bad can happen. I just feel like so much would have changed, but I don't know if that'll be a good or a bad thing.
My phone starts buzzing
"Hey, Daniel. What's up?"
"I'm alright, a bit busy though. Just wanted to check up on you and Gloria, how're you girls?" He sounds tired
"We're good, preparing for the trip tomorrow"
He chuckles "can't imagine how different you'll look. From what I saw in the fashion show, I might not even recognize you"
"Oh come on, I'm not that different"
"You are though, you just won't notice the changes"
I stay quiet for a while "are you okay though? You sound really tired"
"I am" he affirms "been at the agency all day, I'm extremely tired. I hadn't gotten enough sleep last night"
"When do you finish?"
"In two hours or so, but I think I might leave before then, don't really know"
"Sorry about that. Don't break down though"
"Nah, I'm fine, won't risk missing you meeting up with Eric again"
I sigh "the more I hear it, the more I get scared"
"Nothing will happen, alright? We'll be there so you'll be fine"
I let out another sigh "I'll hold on to that"
I heard some voicing in the background, asking for him
"I gotta go, we'll see when you get back"
I nod "no problem"

Eric's POV•
"I'm not interested" I simply state, going through my schedule for the day
"Eric, it's your birthday" My Mum points out "it's only proper that we have a get together to celebrate"
I look up at Jeff who was standing beside me "Can I have the file for Crystal?"
He hands it over
"Eric, I'm talking to you"
I look up at her "but I'm done talking to you. I don't want a party. We both know that gathering isn't in my favor, you just want a way to show of something, I don't know what it is yet but it's definitely what you want to do"
She rolls her eyes "nothing of that sort, Eric. You can even invite your friends if you want"
"If I want? You weren't planning on inviting them to begin with?"
She sigh "don't make an issue out of this. I'll start sending out the invites, make sure to bring Jane" she heads towards the exit and out the office
I let out a sigh..... I'm too old for issues like this, I'm still 27 but I'm still too old.
I turn to Jeff "would you be available for the party?"
He immediately shakes his head "I'm sorry sir, but I prefer not to"
I let out another sigh. After what his friend went through, who could blame him?
