><6 weeks later><
I wake up on a chilly Saturday morning at about 10:30.

It's December now, and it's been pretty brutal too. Tobias and my parents almost never let me drive by myself. I tell them I'll be ok, but they just scoff and tell me no.

I get out of bed and make my way to the bathroom to take a hot shower as quick as I can.

After my shower, I run to my closet to get dressed. I put on a black 'Me? Sarcastic? Never!' short sleeve shirt, floral leggings, fuzzy socks, and white combat boots. I blow dry my hair, brush it out, and put it in a ponytail with an accent braid. I put on eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, blush, and pinkish lipstick. I put on a necklace that says 'hope,' an arrow bracelet, and a white and blue bracelet. I paint my nails with a pink and blue that match my leggings, and dry them by blowing on them as I make my way down the stairs.

A grab a peach from the fruit bowl and bite into it.

"Morning sweetie," Mom says when she walks into the kitchen.

"Morning Mom."

"Are you sure that you don't want to do the People interview?"

"Moooom, I'm sure. Why do you keep bringing it up?"

"Mostly because I'm hoping you'll change your mind, and, um..."

"Spit it out, Mom."

"I, uh, may have told them that you'd do it."

"Mom!"

"Sorry honey! They just kept asking me, and asking me, and I was finally just like, 'Fine! She'll do it!'"

"But I don't wanna, Mom."

"I'm sorry sweetie, but you're gonna have to."

"Ugh!" I yell and throw away my peach seed before storming up the stairs past my dad.

I pull out my phone and FaceTime Tobias.

"Hey baby," I say.

"Hey. What's wrong? You look unhappy."

"My mom. You know how I didn't want to do the interview with People?"

"Yep."

"Well she told them I'd do it anyway. And now I have to do it, even though I really don't want to."

"Maybe your mom's not wrong about this. Maybe you should do it. I know you don't want to do it because you don't want your life to change, but maybe it won't."

"You don't know that."

"You don't know that it's going to change either though."

"Maybe... maybe I can see the future. Huh? Ever though of that?"

"You are so weird," Tobias mutters.

"But that's why you love me."

"Yeah, also because you're compassionate, hilariously funny, beyond beautiful, have the voice and lips of an angel, kind as hell-"

"Stop it! You're embarrassing me!" I say, blushing.

"In front of who?"
