Golems are the guardians of ancient civilizations that were created centuries ago using a type of magic that has since been lost to time.

It is still hotly debated as to whether or not Golems should even be classified as living beings due to the fact that they don't have to do most things that other living beings do such as eating, drinking, sleeping, reproducing, or even breathing. They also don't age, are unable to feel pain, and don't have any organs.

They are most commonly made out of clay, but can also be made of other material such as rock, mud, sand, grass, wood, and metal.

It is impossible to destroy a Golem as they are capable of reattaching their body parts and closing up their own wounds. Even a Golem that was been shattered into thousands of tiny pieces is capable of repairing itself.

Despite lacking brains, Golems are highly intelligent and are even capable of speech. In addition, they are also incredibly strong and fast despite lacking any muscles.

While they were originally confined to parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa, Golems have spread across the world. However, many Golems have never left the area that they were created in because they still feel the need to guard it even though the civilizations that created them are long gone.

As previous facts have suggested, Golems are effectively immortal and every Golem alive today is hundreds of years old.

They have the ability to morph their arms, and in rare cases their legs, into different types of melee weapons and according to them, this was not an ability that they had when they were created so it is still unclear as to how that is possible. However, many Golems believe that it is because some of the magic that was used to create them remains dormant inside their body and if they fully awakened it than it would cause them to gain full on shape-shifting abilities.

Extra Fun Fact: Due to their intelligence, there have been several occurrences of Golems having jobs as teachers, scientists, and even politicians.
