Best Friends (A Joe Sugg Fanfiction)

Chapter Thirty-Four

EMILY'S POV

A few days after hearing the terrible news I still felt like giving up, I knew I needed someone so I let Joe back in I mean yes it's great having him back in my life and he has been fantastic bringing me breakfast in bed. But part of me just wishes that I could give him what he wanted because ever since we were little we both said how one day we wanted children. Joe loved the thought of becoming a dad when he was little so now that he's older it must be something that he longs for but now I can't give him that. I cried myself to sleep every night and ended up being put on antidepressant tablets, they were literally like my happy little pill ;). I took them everyday but Joe was unaware of this he tried to spend as much time as he could with me but he had to go back to Bath all the time to do his roof thatching job and alongside YouTube so he didn't have a lot of time with me.

I still had Poppy and she was my little girl now she was already 2 years old how time flies! I loved our cute little dog day trips to the park or pet shop because she always ended up with something at the end of it. Joe didn't really like dogs that much but he liked Poppy like he did Nala or Alan as he calls her. I hadn't seen a lot of Joe's side of the family because I was scared that they would be angry at me and I didn't want to disappoint them. As the days went by I tried to cope with everything that was happening but I realized that I couldn't without Joe so I decided that today was the day that I would ask him to move in with me.

I was so excited to ask him because it would be brilliant, we would be like a proper couple. I had set up a romantic dinner at my house with rose petals and candles. I put on my best dress and makeup along with my curled hair. I wanted to make an effort now all's I had to do was make Joe come over. I rang him. 'Em! Hey what's wrong?' 

'Hey Joe! Nothing I was just wondering if-'

'Em before you say anything there's something I'm dying to tell you! Me and Caspar are going to be moving in together! In London! I'm so excited, what was it you wanted to ask again sorry?' 

'N-nothing' I said as I blew out the candles and a tear trickled down my cheek. I hung up and went to my bedroom, I removed all of my makeup and curled up in a ball on my bed I give up! I wanted to do something nice and it doesn't work because I'm too late! I didn't know what to do or who I could talk to. I just stayed in a ball and cried for a while. 

JOE'S POV 

OMG I'm so excited to move in with Caspar I have so many pranks in mind for him I can't wait. When my phone call with Em had finished I wondered why she was acting so strange but I figured it was because she was still upset about the baby situation. 'Joe! Can we have a house warming party?!' Caspar shouted from downstairs, 'sure thing Casp!' I replied I called Emily to invite her but after 3 missed calls I gave up she must just want to be alone right now which is understandable. Several of Caspar's friends arrived who I hardly knew but then Zoe, Marcus and the rest of our YouTube friends turned up which was great because I didn't feel so awkward now. I hugged Zoe and spoke to her for a little bit which was nice to just have some sibling time together then me and Marcus played beer pong and by the end of it we were both really drunk.

I was having such a good time just dancing and laughing I had even started to make friends with Caspar's friends who were mostly girls might I add. One of them came over to me and grabbed my hand then led me downstairs I was so drunk that I just followed. 'Hello pretty boy' she laughed, she had blonde hair and blue eyes she was really pretty. 'Hello beautiful!' I said without thinking which of course led her to pull me in for a kiss, it was a pretty aggressive kiss which led to us both standing in my bedroom topless by the end of it. Which then led to some more and then some more.

I woke up the next morning and assumed it was Emily next to me, 'hello Em' I said rolling over to kiss her but when I did this I realized that this really wasn't Emily. Oh God what had I done?! I quickly got dressed without having a shower and drove to Emily's house, I tried the door and it was unlocked which was really unusual. I saw the dining table with rose petals on and blown out candles with a meal on two plates. I looked at the side to see a little box on it was a note saying 'To Joe x' when I opened the box I saw a house key. I figured out what it was for and why it was there and then remembered the conversation yesterday. Oh God!

I walked upstairs to Emily's bedroom to see her clutching a photo of me and her to her chest. Her face was all red probably from crying and she was wearing the most beautiful dress I'd ever seen. I sat next to her and pushed her hair out of her face she looked perfect she slowly opened her eyes, 'hello beautiful' I whispered to her. She seemed a little bit confused at first but then realized that it was me. She threw her arms around me and hugged me tightly, I hugged her back equally as tightly but then felt really guilty about last night. I couldn't tell her, not now and not ever. We spent the morning hugging and kissing a little it was perfect.
