JOE'S POV

So today I was going to be in one of Zoe's videos and I was so nervous. I started giggling half way through so Zoe had to cut it out, most of the blonde was out of my hair now and it had been cut, bye bye mop! Once me and Zoe had finished filming I asked Emily if she wanted to do anything and she said yes. We both went on the train to London to go shopping, I drove to Emily's in my Peugeot called Polly and picked her up. She had now started to wear more makeup because she was at that stage of her life or something? I don't know I didn't really listen to her makeup talk. She was still a sports loving tomboy but now she wore makeup and more girly clothes you could say. Today she was wearing light blue skinny jeans a white, pink and navy striped jumper with a beanie sort of hat on and a cream scarf around her neck and on her feet she had some cream coloured converse. As you can tell she was definitely growing up slightly.

We both now had jobs and had left school here's the best part! We were both training to become roof thatchers and it was amazing having someone to laugh with while roof thatching. I was now also on YouTube myself under the name of ThatcherJoe and I already had 100k subscribers. It was so unbelievable, I tried to get Emily to start her own channel but she was so adamant that it wasn't her type of thing. She watched all of my videos because she is a great friend and she came up with the idea of Sugg Sunday Specials. We got to the train station and I left my car there, we had got on the train.  'So Joe, I wanted you to be the first to know. I've met this guy he's pretty cool, his names Dylan. I mean nothings happening just yet but I wanted you to know before anyone else because we are best friends and all that'. So not only was she no longer a full tomboy but now she was interested in guys?! What was happening. I was still little Suggy with the thin legs and short body.

'Ah yea cool' I decided to play it cool, perhaps a little bit too cool... Who the heck cares, she was dating now. Before me! We arrived at London after a two and a half hour train journey. We went to JD sports first and I brought some black suede Nike blazers, I saw Emily looking at some football boots but then a sad look came across her face. 'Whats wrong?' I asked her I was really concerned.

'I-I can't play anymore' she stuttered tears coming to her eyes, I was very confused.

'Why not?'

'Well, Dylan said that sports are a boys thing and girls shouldn't play them' that explains why she has become so girly. 'Sod what Dylan says!' I shouted a little.

'That's just it I can't just sod what he says, his parents arranged a deal with mine that we would marry when I reached 23'

'What is this some sort of ancient History?' I yelled getting even more angry.

'I know, but I can't disappoint my mum again... She smashed all of my sports trophies' she started to cry.

'But wait, you're 23 in a few months time...' I said with an upset look on my face, she didn't even want to get married but she was being forced to, what bullshit! 'Say no?' I asked.

'I can't...'

'Why not?'

'My dad... he would... I just can't alright?!' she snapped. I hugged her tightly trying to stop the tears but I accidentally wiped of some of the makeup from her face, when I looked back at her she had a massive black eye. 'Were you covering that with makeup?' I asked trying not to jump to conclusions. 'Just leave it alright!' she yelled clearly I had hit a nerve or something. I didn't ask anymore questions and just continued to hug her. We were best friends and I hated to see her cry, I asked her if she wanted to grab a coffee or something like that and she agreed. 'How about you stay at mine for a while until this crazy shit has stopped?' I asked.

'Erm... I can't I'm sorry' She sounded deep down like she wanted to but she portrayed it like she didn't but we had been friends for years so I'm pretty sure I could tell by now and I knew that she was hiding something. After a good 4 hours of non stop shopping - yay! -.- We were on the train ride back home to Bath. London was such a lovely place, 'fine then if you won't stay at mine for a while then when we can afford it we will move to London together' she smiled and that made me feel a little better that she had smiled. She had such a pretty smile. 'Oh and Joe...' she said sadly, 'I'm... not allowed to do roof thatching for a while either. I have to resign and work in a restaurant for a while... I'm so sorry' she started to cry again and I felt like I was about to cry but I didn't want her to feel bad. I guess I'm thatching on my own again then... I just wanted to cry. She was the one big thing I enjoyed about my job, mucking about with her on the roof.

(A few days later)

I walked into my favorite restaurant after a meeting and I hadn't seen or heard off Emily for a good few days now. I got seated and this waitress came over to order my drinks, I looked up and something seemed familiar about this girl. Of course it was the light blue eyes, 'Emily?' she looked up and you could see it in her face, she was exhausted and completely drained. The cheery look she always had behind her eyes was gone, she didn't even know how to smile anymore or talk for that matter. 'For God's sake Emily! Do your God damn job. You pathetic excuse for a waitress!' I could see that these words were stinging her like crazy and she was almost in tears, 'I-I have to go sorry' then she rushed off. She came back out minutes later with bloodshot eyes from crying and now she had a red cheek. 'Can I take your order please Sir?' this wasn't her, what had happened.

'Don't forget the fucking smile! Honestly!' when she heard this she smiled as though nothing was going on, but for me I could tell she was faking the smile.
