Best Friends (A Joe Sugg Fanfiction)

Chapter Fifty Four

A few months had passed and Joe was finally out of hospital and back to his usual self. However, the thing he didn't tell me was that for 9 months he had been writing a graphic novel called Username: Evie. It had been released for sale for a day now and everyone loved it today he was going on ITV This Morning to talk to Holly and Philip about Username: Evie. We were bringing Rose along because it was a nice family trip out and because it was a Saturday. I drove us to the studios in London and when we arrived Joe turned to me with a nervous look on his face, 'Em I'm really nervous. What if it goes wrong?' I laughed at how nervous he was.

'Joseph, you'll be fine. I will be there watching and if you get really nervous look out for me' I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before getting out of the car and getting Rose out too. We walked in and Joe was getting ready for his interview, he was on after Victoria Balch the one from the Alton Towers crash, hearing her story was so sad but at the same time so inspiring. 'Next on we have someone that all of your children will love. Internet personality Joe Sugg' Joe looked so nervous as he was sat opposite Holly and Philip, they showed a quick clip of his YouTube videos, some had me in it and some had Rose.

'Now Joe, before we start to talk about Username: Evie, your graphic novel, we should talk about your beautiful wife and daughter. Who are backstage am I right?' Holly said smiling.

'Yea, they're backstage' he laughed nervously. 

'Now we saw pictures of the wedding' Philip said afterwards and on the screen were pictures of mine and Joe's wedding where I had a massive baby bump. 'So on this picture, Emily was pregnant with your beautiful baby girl. How did things go with the pregnancy and birth? I mean we all know the tragic story of Oscar was this baby a sort of luck thing or?' 

'Well... The pregnancy went smoothly and there were no complications which was good' Joe smiled I could tell that he found it difficult to talk about and I was nearly in tears when they mentioned Oscar. It still hurts to talk about. 'Next lets talk Username: Evie. Now what was your inspiration for the book?' Holly asked still smiling at him.

'Well of course my fans were a big inspiration and I took on-board some of their real life problems and put them into the book. But the other big inspiration was Emily, my beautiful wife, she had a massive impact on the story and she inspired me to write it' when he mentioned my name a picture of me came up on the screen. They continued to talk about Username: Evie and about how we were best friends as children. When he had finished he ran over to me, 'are you okay? I didn't know that they would bring up Oscar. I'm so sorry' I gave him a fake smile and replied.

'Joe... I'm fine... You-you did good' I said, my voice shaking, 'lets head home its your launch party in a few hours. I smiled but this time it wasn't a fake smile. We got in the car and drove home, unfortunately Jim and Tanya couldn't come to the launch party but they offered to look after Rose for the weekend so that me and Joe had time to ourselves. We dropped Rose off and went back home to get dressed. I put on a short dress which was strapless with black lace around the boob area and floated out towards the bottom in a cream colour. I put on some black high heels and for my makeup I had smoky eyes and a nude lipstick. I curled my hair loosely and it fell beautifully.

I walked back into the bedroom where Joe was getting dress and he stopped what he was doing to look at me, 'you look stunning' he said smiling at me and walking over to me in just his boxers I was almost in tears because I was so proud of him. I let him get changed into a pair of black skinny jeans and a brown leather belt along with a white shirt with the first two buttons undone and a greyish-brown blazer which in the top pocket had a burgundy tissue. His hair looked amazing like it always seemed to. We got into a taxi and headed to the launch party for his book.

We got there hours before everyone else obviously and we walked onto the balcony which had the most amazing view ever. I walked over to the glass of the balcony and felt Joe's arms wrap around me, 'its beautiful' I said to him. 'Not as beautiful as you' Joe replied smirking. He started to kiss my cheek over and over again. We turned our back to the view and got out our phones to take a picture. On the picture Joe was kissing my cheek and I was smiling happily. It was such a beautiful picture and we both made it our backgrounds on our phones.

We walked back inside and got a glass of champagne shortly after we were joined by Tom and Lewis our old friends from Bath they ran over to Joe and hugged him before they started to play fight with him. This was just how they used to be back in high school. 'Joeeeeeee' they both said at the same time. They finally stopped messing around and saw me standing there laughing. 'Emily? Oh my God I didn't recognize you' Lewis said smirking. I walked over to him and gave him a hug.

'I think its safe to say that you are a MILF' Tom laughed and I went to hug him to.

'Thanks guys' I smiled back.

'Hey you two, hands off she's mine' Joe laughed before putting his arm around me. I just burst out laughing. 'Joe you're such an idiot' I laughed. His reply to this was picking me up and swinging me around. I let out a little scream and he fell over laughing. Next to arrive was Zoe and Tracey I walked over to have a girly chat with them while the boys mucked around. 'You look beautiful' Zoe said hugging me. 'Thanks Zo' I replied hugging her back. Then Tracey hugged me and I hugged her back, 'I'm so proud of Joe' she said tears forming in her eyes. At that moment Joe walked over and hugged his mum tightly. Then he hugged Zoe and I went to have a sit down outside. I missed my parents so much and it hurt to see how close Joe was to his parents.

Joe must have noticed that I had gone away because he came out to me shortly after, 'what's wrong?' he said sadly. 'I miss my parents Joe' I said sadly. He sat next to me at this point and pulled my head onto his shoulder. 'I thought you'd say that so they are on there way over here' he smiled. I lifted my head up quickly, 'no! Really? OMG! I love you!' I shouted and hugged him tightly. 'You're the best' I walked back inside happily and that was when I saw them standing there. 'Mum? Dad?' I said walking over to them. 'Our baby girl! We are so sorry for everything! We've missed you so much. We never stop being proud of you' They said as they pulled me in for a hug. 

'Mum... Dad..' I said crying a little bit, 'you have a grand-daughter too!' I said happily. I got out my phone and showed them a picture of her. 'She's beautiful' my dad said smiling. I then walked over to Joe with them following me. 'Joe' I said to him and he turned around to see my parents standing there. 'Joe? My God you've changed!' My mum said as she pulled him in for a hug. 'Are you being a good husband to my baby?' my mum asked him smiling.

'I hope so' he smiled as he put his arm around me. 'He's the best husband in the world' I smiled kissing him softly.
