NEW YORK five in the morning.

"Bizz...bizz...bizz..." Austine's cellphone vibrated continuously beside him. He slept on his tummy so he rolled over and annoyingly grabbed his cellphone. "What! who's this? For God sake let me sleep. Please, just call again later. Okay!" he irritatingly shouted.

"Austine! Is that the way how to answer to your own mother?" he heard his mother sweet voice on the other of the line.

Napaawang ang kanyang labi nang makikila ang boses ng sariling ina.

"Mom? Oh! God I'm sorry! What's up? Why did you call in this too early in the morning." he sat up on his bed while holding his cellphone with his right hand and rubbed his eyes using his left hand.

"Austine, you need to come home, as soon as possible." his mother said in a very serious tone.

"Mom, please! You know, I can't!" he immediately said.

"You can't or you just don't want too? I understand if you really don't like to step again in my own country but some things happened in here. And we need you, your older brother needs you. He had a car accident yesterday and right now he's still in coma." His mother started sobbing.

"What? How does that happened to Kuya Robbie?" he sighed deeply and stood to grabbed a bottled water on the bedside table.

"He lost control in his car when a young boy suddenly crossed the street, he tried not to hit the boy so he swerved his car and he goes directly into the solid light post. Son, please come home. I'm begging you" his mother sobbed continuously.

"Mom! Oh God! Okey, okey! I'm coming home." he said defeatedly.
