Brontide:
the low rumble of distant thunder.

After an almost snog session and light paltry raindrops, it was time for Niall and I to go back to cabin nine for the night.

Fortunately for us, once Niall and I were safely in our cabin the light rain erupted into a heavy, rather loud rainstorm. The thunder that came along with the storm gave me a fright as I slipped into my night pyjamas.

Hours later the brontide grew louder making it harder to fall into slumber for me. The same could be said for Niall also.

I couldn't see him from where I laid but the melodramatic groans sounding from him easily told me he was still awake as well as I. I still checked just to be sure—murmuring out his name through the neared silence.

Niall answered almost immediately. "I'm awake, babe," he confirmed. "I wish I wasn't; we have group tomorrow."

"Yeah," I sigh. "I know, I can't sleep either."

"You know what they say-," I could perfectly hear the wit in his voice, picturing his crooked smile flawlessly before I cut him off.

"No Niall, I don't know what they say."

He laughs his contagious laugh and our cabin room falls silent automatically after until the soft pats of Niall's feet were soon to be heard. The pats silence once Niall stands in my eyes view wearing his grey jogging bottoms and white shirt.

I sit up straightaway whilst beaming at a drowsy Niall. His hair laid flat against his forehead, blue eyes still as electrifying in the night just as during the day, and lips formed into a frown.

"I hate storms," he announces whilst seating himself on the edge of my mattress. "Let's coddle."

And who am I to deprive Niall of a coddle?

I nod, moving over to give Niall his space on my mattress. He easily lays down. Swift to wrap his arms around my frame, sighing contently.

I relax into his touch needing no time to adjust to his gesture. I rest my head in the space of Niall's shoulder and neck, falling into slumber just as fast as he did.

The loud sound of thunder soon fades out of my hearing, Niall's soft snores the only sound audible. And that's how the two of us went to sleep--

Niall's arms wrapped around me and my arms around his shoulder. The sound of his snores lulling me into a contented slumber.

We weren't late for group session though we weren't ready early as habitual to go to the canteen, but I was okay with that. Niall wasn't.

He made sure to make overly loud grumbling noises on the walk to the group session cabin. Squeezing my hand that was in his hold intentionally so I can give Niall my full attention for the remainder of the walk.

"It's okay, you'll just eat for lunch," I assure him in attempt to remove the slight pout on his face but it only deepened.

"But I want breakfast," Niall whines.

"I know, I know," I reassure, grateful we were only metres away from the group cabin.

Niall went to his permanent seat towards the front of the circular table whilst I went to mine at the back. A mass of others piling in not too long after, yet they still arrived before Miss Siddle as usual.

Liam entered without the accompany of Louis, tacitly informing the illness of Louis still active.

The grey eyed counsellor enters the cabin minutes later wearing a bright smile that stood out from the number of grimaces.

"Good Morning," she greets brightly earning
a mixture of murmuring greetings in return. That didn't, at all, stop her from continuing.

"Pairs today. The objective is for you all to communicate," she announces. "It's simple and I want you all to tread lightly."

No one responds, signalling Miss Siddle to began shouting out names that she so likely placed into pairs, and as usual my name was last to be called.

"Harry and Eleanor!"

I was paired with one of the most quietest persons within group session. She didn't talk to barely anyone except Cara and a few others comfortably though I've never shared a decent discussion with her ever.

I didn't want to cause her discomfort so I properly sat, silently. Looking away from the brunette sitting next to me and focusing my attention on Niall whom was still sat at the front of the circular table, talking to Cara.

I studied the full formation of Niall's lips every time he went to pronounce a different word- it was the only interesting thing within the group cabin other than my silent conversation with Eleanor. I happened to steal glances at her out of curiosity, just wondering what she was doing during the silent process. It was similar to what I was doing:

Eleanor's eyes were focused in on Cara's conversation with Niall and mine were focused in on Niall's conversation with Cara. Me and Eleanor shared something in common.

"Hi," I manage to murmur to the uninterested Eleanor.

I watched her scoff before giving me an eye roll. "Bye," she dismisses me.

And that's why her and Cara get on.

I didn't dare speak to her again, just focused my attention back on Niall whom looked far from interested in his discussion with Cara. I even found Niall staring at me later on during group session, making sure to send me a wink that quickly changed the colour of my cheeks as a tacit response.

All too soon I began wishing Niall was my pair instead of rude Eleanor. I was thankful the two hours briefly passed by. Quick to tackle Niall into a tight embrace, nearly knocking him over in the process.

"Oi, baby!" Niall chuckles, hugging me back. "What's this for?"

"Missed you, that's all," I murmur into his hood. "Eleanor's a cunt, babe."

Niall laughs, "So is Cara, I know." He pulls away from our embrace, but quickly takes my hand into his. "I'm starving beautiful. Let's go eat lunch."

And who am I to deprive Niall from eating lunch?
