37 - Too Dramatic?

+Maya's POV+

"What are you guys gonna do about the tweets?" Michael asks randomly.

I speak up, "Well I don't know really. I guess we could just go public. I mean, they already know."

"It's just easier to tell them," Luke puts his hand on my back.

"OH MY GOSH!" Some random person walks up, "You ARE dating?!!"

"Well-"

"They are just two people, it's not a big deal." Michael interrupts.

"But she's LUKE HEMMINGS' girlfriend."

Luke tightens his grip on me. "Anyway, what your name?"

"Sierra. Oh, and you guys are amazing! Where's Cal and Ash?"

Michael starts talking to the fan as me and Luke walk away. I seriously am so thankful for Michael. He's such a good best friend.

"Should we tell them?" Luke bites his lip.

"I- I don't know," I sit down at a table in Starbucks, across from Luke.

"It would be easier, and that pretty much already know."

"Yeah, I guess. How do we tell them?"

"Twitter?"

"I could post a picture..." I pull out my phone and turn on Twitter.

"I think we should do it."

"Yeah, less stress." I put in a picture of me kissing Luke's cheek and his face scrunched up. I caption it, 'I love this guy so much tbh @LukeSOS'

"Maya..."

"Mmhm?"

"You look scared."

"I'm just scared of fans. And hate."

"Hey, it'll be fine," I push the 'post' button.

Almost instantly the comments start rolling in.

'They are so adorable!'

'Can I be Maya please?'

'Just stop it.'

'Who even is she?'

'I think she's in my class.'

'Luke looks so happy with her tbh.'

'She doesn't deserve him tho.'

'They're prefect together!'

It looks like half of them are positive. The other half, negative.

I check to see if Luke posted. He did. He posted a picture that Dahlia took of us kissing. 'This girl means everything to me.'

I look up at him. I smile and reach across the table to kiss him.

I smile into the kiss.

"You know I love you right?" I tell him.

"And you know I love you?" I quickly kiss him again.

My phone suddenly has a quick buzz. It was just Instagram. I was tagged in a picture of me and Luke kissing.

This is already annoying.

"Hey Luke! We have band practice," Michael comes over.

"Oh right. I forgot. Let's go." He grabs my hand.

School just finished. The day was better for Dahlia. Victoria was still evil.
