53 - Time not so well spent

Maya's POV

I pull out my phone and earbuds on the way home. Nobody is really talking anyway. Except for Calum and Dahlia, giggling in the back every few minutes.

The silence was annoying, so I put on 'The Light Behind Your Eyes' by My Chemical Romance.

I just can't believe Luke said I was being a brat. I just really don't feel well today. I kinda just wanna lay in my bed and stare at the ceiling. I don't want to be around anyone.

Michaels the one to break the silence, "The concert tonight is gonna be fun..."

Without much emotion at all I reply, "Mmhm."

"What are you listening to?"

I show him my phone screen.

He nods, "MCR? They are amazing."

"I know."

He looks disappointed, "Hey Luke! Remember the piggy back rides when we were back stage?"

"Yeah."

"Wasn't that fun?"

"Yeah."

There's a quiet pause for a minute before Michael speaks again, "Maya."

"What?"

"Knock, knock!"

I roll my eyes, "Who's there?"

"Interrupting cow."

I sarcastically say, "Interrupting cow wh-"

"Moooooo!" Michael interrupts me and starts laughing.

"Can you please just stop Michael?"

He looks extremely hurt, sinks down into his seat, crossing his arms over his chest he replies, "Yeah... Sorry."

I lay down on my bed with my face into my pillow.

Ashton giggles, "You okay Maya?"

I talk into my pillow, "Yes."

Someone comes up and starts tickling me. I flip around while trying to get away to see Luke tickling me.

"No! Stop!" I try kicking him away. That unfortunately doesn't work, so I pull my blankets over top of me. I curl my legs into my chest. I feel his body lay next to mine.

He goes under the covers and wraps his leg around me, putting his hand on my shoulder and poking my face he says, "Hi, hi, hi."

I try shrugging him off but he wraps both of his arms around me and kisses my cheek multiple times, making me giggle.

"Ha! You laughed! Guys she laughed!"

"She did?" Michael perks up.

"Really?" Ashton says from the corner.

"Oh my gosh, I just giggled. Leave me alone."

"No," I can barely see him smirk, but he does.

"You're so annoying."

"I'm sorry," he pouts.

"No you're not."

"Maybe not," he snuggles into me.

"That's what I thought."

"You're not mad at me now," he sighs happily.

"If you say so."

He pouts.

"Fine. I'm only a little upset."

He kisses my neck, "Nooooo love meee," he whines.
