Chapter 21

Waking up with a headache is really not on my to do list. Slowly moving from my makeshift bed which is a ton of discarded mattress and plumped clothes as a pillow. I jumped out and started to make plans to meet my friends in the street where Daniel gave.

Heaving and panting, I managed to not get caught. Making a mental note of congratulations to myself, I continued walking until I saw the abandoned house. My heart skipped a beat as I saw shadows moving inside. Quietly, I dashed as I made a quiet and quick entrance.

"Emily!" I heard all of them made a run towards and gave me great panda bear hugs. That's why I love these guys. "are you alright?!" was their first question. I made a curt nod and scanned the whole place to check if everyone is here.

"Emily" I craned my neck to the caller and I saw my friends. They were all covered in dirt and cinder, well everyone is. I gave them my biggest smile as tears sting my eyes. Trying so hard not to cry only weakened me so I covered my face with my hands and sobbed.

"Hey, your safe" My bestfriends said making me thank God how awesome he is and more. After the quick session, the whole place shook. This is not good. I saw everyone stayed on the same spot as the ground shook again. This time it's closer, closer and closer until we realized.

"This place will be destroyed! Move out!" I heard one of my classmates say as the boys opened the door and forced everyone out. I was last to go out and I saw how the wrecking ball destroyed everything on it's wake. With a shudder, I imagined myself buried under those cement and poles and how bloody that would be.

A sigh was released as I checked my classmates. They were all looking at our temporary yet very important safe haven being destroyed and slowly burned. We stayed there for quite a long time when the unmistakable noise of the chopper was heard.

"Run!" we said in unison as the chopper's search light beamed everywhere. "Run, run run guys!! Don't stop!" it was Jay, he was running with Noreen and Michelle as Roselin and Judy ran in front. I bit my lip when a hand grabbed me. Fighting and kicking, I struggled when my abductor spoke.

"Hush! If you don't want to be caught." I stared at the same lime green eyes and sensed a deja vú. I know who this is. Christen. You know, the deputy Guy? Yup it's him in the flesh. "what are you doing here?!" Rose said in utter annoyance. Seriously, this girl is awesome.

Christen made a small nod and said "I knew you guys were alive. The news had told the world about your death kids." That actually made my world shatter. "The what??" we all shouted. "yup, you all died they said, but I know better. It's impossible. Don't ask me how I know, but I just know." he said defending himself.

"are you alone?" Sham asked. He looked down and mumbled. "yes and I'm-" he started when the ground shook again and gun shots were fired. Quickly as I can, I checked the place when my heart shattered and made my whole life meaningless. Half of my classmates were captured and I didn't do anything, I just watched.

My bestfriends then gasped in horror as they saw what I saw. Now having half of my brain working, I tried to run to help when hands caged the four of us. "let us go!" I managed to shout. "are you insane?! You will get captured then WHAT?!" he made a soft pause then added. "I'm sorry" he then pulled out four syringes and shot us whatever is inside.

I managed to throw the syringe but I was too late. The drug is working and I saw and heard weird things when one thing occupied my mind.
