Chapter 6

After the short adventure inside the campus. My mind was spinning as my friends and I stayed a little while inside a fast-food chain considering it's a Friday. We took the spot farthest from the horde of people and started to brainstorm what we have seen inside the principal's office. "What do you think that was?" May asked between gulps of soda. "I don't know, but I am willing to find out no matter what." Sham said in a deep serious tone. I chomped off half of my hamburger and got a table napkin and a pen. I wrote down some of my theories. After a few moments of silence, I gave them my list. "here are some of the theories I have in mind." "hmm, I think the theory of taking an IQ test is the closest to me." Sham said. "Hmm mine too or some other kind of test. Maybe a health test?" May concluded. "But my question is, why us? I mean why just us?" I asked while poking my ice cubes. "Same reason as always, science classes tend to have more quizzes, subjects and activities done than the regular classes." Sham commented while rolling her eyes. May just scoffed sarcastically and continued drinking her juice. I just gripped my head in frustration and ordered another drink.

After a few minutes of talking, we bid our goodbyes and went home. After I got home, I quickly excused myself from my sister and went straight to bed. I quickly changed and lied down feeling the great comfort given to me by my fluffy bed.

Marry me bed

My subconscious said. I smiled at the thought and drifted off to sleep.

Everything was perfect. The sun was shining, the trees were swaying to the wind and the place felt safe. I found myself walking towards a small pond where I saw familiar faces feeding some ducks. I hold back a giggle when I saw my classmates. Like on cue, they all looked up and gave a small wave. I waved back and made a run towards them. There I saw Philip feeding the ducks, Hannah laughing out loud as Salbino playfully pushed Philip into the pond, Jay and the other dancers with Michelle and Sophia started dancing when Celtin took out her speakers and played a fast beat of music. I saw the others happily talking within their circle when the beautiful sky was covered with thunder clouds. Everyone started running when the raindrops started to fall. I ran first laughing to the nearest tree when I noticed everyone disappeared. I stopped short gasping for air when I saw two figures running towards my shelter. It was Sham and May. I gave a nod when two firm grips got the hold of my mouth and gagged me with something. "Run. Because the chase is on. Run like the gingerbread man cause it's gonna be raw." a husky and masculine voice whispered into my ear as I felt a syringe needle piercing my skin.

I woke up kicking away my covers and quickly fell down the floor. I grunted as my arms refuse to lift my limp body. I hate you body. You're supposed to be helping me live not helping me die. I mentally scolded. I tried again but to no avail. I released a sigh and reached out for my pillow and planned to stay down the floor instead. Accidentally, I dragged my phone down towards my nose and rolled into a ball in pain. I hate you phone! I thought you were my friend! That's it! Friendship OVER! I mentally shouted and grabbed my phone. I checked the time and was overjoyed when I saw the clock moved from 12:59 to 1:00. I made a mental victory dance and wuzzled off.

My ears were bleeding as I continously heard the metal being dragged into the cement. My whole body shivered when the noise just keeps getting louder and louder and louder- my alarm clock.

I woke up finding myself closer to my side dresser and closer to my alarm clock. I successfully groan and pulled myself up. Dang it! I didn't turn off the alarm! I did my morning rituals and went down. I found my mom and dad watching the telly as they eat breakfast. I looked into the fridge for something sweet when the news caught my attention.

Earlier today, these citizens have heard muffled shouting as one person saw the kidnapping. He said that he saw three students from the Science High School walking with glee when a black tinted car without a plate number stopped a few inches away from the victims. Not longer than three minutes, four men in black came out the said vehicle and took away the students.

I didn't get to finish the news. I hurriedly ran upstairs and grabbed my phone from the dresser. I opened it up when the flashing came again. This time, it brought a different message.

Tick tock goes the clock have you seen the news?
Tick tock goes each breath are you ready for something new!
Tick tock don't be fooled cause I'm gonna be chasing you.

I flinched and gulped a worried cry and texted Sham, May and Rose. It's time for a talk with the trio.
