Chapter 39
3 days has passed and right now we are still recovering but we ain't staying bed ridden. Nope! no way. So right now, we decided to hang around the dining hall as we recapped what happened. Also, I told them about what happened to Karen. Expecting their harsh comments but instead, I got hugs and soft pats saying your alive. That's important too feeling all happy and fresh, I decided I would do everything I can for the future.
Huddling around the bench, Sham came with a big bowl of hot soup as I felt my stomach rumble. Holy smokes! the soups looks delicious! grabbing my very own bowl, I took a serving and drank it hungrily. Well, nothing beats warm food when you were like sleeping for about hours inside a negative degree room. i know exaggeration but hell dude. We suffered. Eating silently, I took another serving when we were interrupted by his annoying voice.
"What are you doing?" Grumpy asked as he placed his tray on the table across me. "Eating? duh" May replied. nice comeback May! "and planning" Rose added as she took a sip. "You are possibly planning an evil plan while you drink soup?" he said with a hint of bewilderment and suddenly shrugged. "Nice thinking Sebastian!" My friends perked up as they decided to make a comeback. "Okay! planning time!" Judelyn announced.
"We need to kill that Jayden." Roselin announced raising her brows to the max. "why don't we sabotage the laboratory computers? we have a lot of hackers" Noreen proposed. "cool, but the problem is when we hack, they might track the signal down and point out Alpha Point's location" Jay added. "Then what about if we destroy their lab. That would leave a big dent on the facilities." Josephine announced. "Hmmm, in what way?" Vincent asked. "Bombs. They are better for those jobs than implanting actually sticky time bombs." Mel said. "hmm good point" Sham said.
Inhaling sharply, I studied the data we got when I suddenly announced not stopping my big mouth. "I have a plan. It's gonna be risky. " "All plans are risky Emily." Ahn reassured. Nodding I announced, " I would let them capture me and from the inside, I'll help you sabotage the place and-" "NOPE! NO WAY NUH UH" they all said in unison. "what?! but why?" I asked devastated.
"First, you're what they want. Second, no one is gonna sacrifice their selves. Duh" Rose said as a matter of fact tone. "anything then?" I asked when Grumpy decided to butt in. "I think its a good plan. I can sabotage away from Alpha point." He announced. okaaaayyy soooo he's gonna like be helping us????? "hmmmm well, let's try it. Emily, you'll go with Sebastian." Sham said with a that's final tone "and we'll judge our next step from there."
Sighing and clutching the dark scarf Oliver gave, I followed Sebastian towards a shed that is like 100 miles away from the point. Helping him with the set up, He got two chairs and handed one to me. "Its gonna be a long night. Sit tight" he said. Nodding, I didn't do anything but just sat down. arrrrggg I want to do something!
I've decided that I would look around. Not wanting to disturb his concentration, I crept out of that room and went into the different parts of the shed. Well this is quite big for a shed. Just when I was about to give up and decided that this place is just junk, I saw a door on the corner of my eye. doctor who reference! :* and as curious as I can, I broke the hinges of the rotten door and saw a lot of boxes piled up in there.
Slowly and carefully dusting each of the, I opened one and saw books, notebooks and some instruments. this place was a lab before! happily checking the books, I quickly sat down and and started to read.
Dear Diary,
today, our teacher decided to let us make something very important in the future and so I am going to make the Sibly System. Its gonna be the perfect governmental system that would create a great change to the economy and the progress of the country. Also I am so motivated I will make this system a reality and not even my nemesis can stop me-
"hey, so this is where you've gone." his face was drenched in sweat as he tried to catch his breath. "Sorry, I was bored. I went on a trip." I said as I stood up patting of the dust. "No worries. Well, anyway, I got some data. Come, we need to go back. " Nodding, I placed the notebook back in the box when suddenly the radio's static voice disrupted the silence of the place.
"Sebastian!" it was Sham! "don't come to Alpha Point! it's under attack. I don't know how they found the place but I'm 100 percent sure it wasn't you because they came prepared. They know about the place! It's an inside job. That's why. RUN! bring Emily with you and run! run run!" then the radio died down.
"Sebastian! let's go!" I shouted. Fortunately, he didn't argue. Running towards the truck, he drove as fast as the beat up truck could go when we noticed the fire from a far. "no!" I mumbled under my breath. "Sham! Rose! May! Everyone!" I started to shout when Sebastian covered my mouth and buried me into his jacket.
It can't be. Alpha Point fell.
