The Journey To Okasis

GARROTH'S POV

I knew she was going to want to do this. Go to Okasis and meet my father. I was perfectly fine with her going; I just wasn't sure about myself. Facing my father is one of my greatest fears. If she wasn't my fiancé, he wouldn't care about her. But sense she was close to me, I was afraid he would do something to her to get to me.

Although I had fixed Zane's heart (and head), there was no turning my father's. He was the wickedest man alive.

I looked over to where (E/C) was getting situated on the bed. Her head was resting on my chest. They had transferred her to a room with a larger bed, so I could sleep with her. I wrapped my arms around her and she stopped moving so much.

"Hey," I whispered in her ear.

She turned around and faced me. "Hi. I'm excited to go to Okasis."

I sighed. "I'm... not. I'm worried my father will do something evil... to hurt you, or the twins."

"I'm sure he's a nice man, Garroth. Not anyone can raise a son like you. I'll be happy to meet him."

"I don't know..." I grunted.

"I'm sure we'll be fine Garroth."

I leaned in and she swept me away in a long kiss. When we finally came up for air, she looked at me and sighed.

"Goodnight, Garroth. You're going to be a wonderful daddy."

I smiled and closed my eyes. We had a long way to travel tomorrow.

~IN~THE~MORNING~

YOUR POV

I woke up to Garroth by my side. I giggled. He was drooling a little.

I sat up in bed. Today we were going to go to Okasis. The dangerous Okasis. Garroth was really worried, but I don't know why. I'm sure his father is nice. I mean, who could raise a son like Garroth and be cruel? Then again, what parent forces their child to marry someone they haven't met? But, what if it was for the good of the village... I FEEL SO CONFLICTED RIGHT NOW!

I took a deep breath. It will be okay. The twins are going to be safe, Garroth and I will make it back to Phoenix Drop on time and we will stay safe and have a happy life together! Yeah, if only life was that simple.

Garroth was still asleep so I got dressed for the day and walked over to his side of the bed.

"Garroth, wake up. Today we go to Okasis..." I whispered in his ear.

The only response was him turning towards me and moaning his little head off. I grabbed my pillow and gave him a thwack on the head.

"Ow! Hey! What happened to respecting the sleeping man?!?"

"I don't know. What happened to respecting the pregnant lady?" I laughed.

He smiled and sat up.

"Umm, Garroth. Why don't you get changed into some ACTUAL clothes, before we go out of the room I mean..."

Garroth looked down and blushed.

"I mean, unless you want to show up to your father in your boxers."

"Nah, I think I'll change."

Garroth pulled on some clothes and held the door for me as I walked out.

We headed over to the stables after thanking the nurses and doctors at the hospital. We grabbed the horse and Garroth got on. He pulled me on after himself.
