It's Been a Long Time (Part 2)

YOUR POV

"It's been such a long time sense I've used a bow..."

Garroth chuckled. "Yeah. It has." He picked up a bow and a quiver and quickly placed it over himself. "To tell you the truth, I haven't touched a bow sense the last time you did probably."

I smiled. "Yeah. You got really lazy while I was pregnant."

He fake pouted. "Excuse me! I was just being a concerned father and was looking over my little angels."

I shook my head. "Excuses, excuses."

Garroth rolled his eyes and docked an arrow. He closed his left eye in an attempt to aim better. He let go of the bow's string and the arrow went sailing though the air, way past the target and the tree the target was pinned to.

I bit my bottom lip in an attempt to keep in a laugh. "Nice shot?"

Garroth rolled his eyes, but a small smile was on his face. "I was aiming for the tree behind it.

"Oh really now?"

"Yep."

I left Garroth where he was standing, to go see where the arrow landed. I rolled my eyes when I couldn't even find the arrow. "Garroth, that shot was so bad, I can't find the arrow."

Garroth laughed as I walked over to him and docked an arrow in my bow. "This is how you do it." I let go of the string and sent the arrow flying.

It landed about 5 inches above the outer ring of the target.

Garroth smirked. "You didn't even hit the target." He teased.

"You didn't even hit the tree the target's on." I snapped at him.

"Sorry, I forgot about the shadow-part of you..."

"No, I'm sorry. My shadow-side has been really quiet lately and I guess I let my guard down. I'm sorry."

Garroth smiled. "Well, you were the closest. Why don't you go again?"

I nodded and docked another arrow. I pulled back on the string and aimed for the center of the target. 

Suddenly, I felt Garroth's hands on my waist and his hot breath fanning my neck. My breath hitched as I released the string and the arrow flew way off course.

"AGH!"

My eyes widened as Andi and Laurence ducked to dodge the arrow.

It thunked as it drove itself into the tree trunk behind them.

They slowly came up, looking between me and the arrow.

"Garroth!" I turned and shouted at him.

"What!"

"You cheated!"

"You're worried about that when you almost killed Laurence and I?!?" Andi and Laurence came over by us.

"Yes! Why are you two here anyway?"

"Aaron and Aphmau were going to train with us in a few minutes. We came to set up some stuff. When are you two going to finish with the bows I kinda wanted to do that first..."

I smiled at my sister. "Go ahead and use them now. Garroth and I were just finishing up."

Garroth rolled his eyes then smirked. "Just wanted to make sure I still had that effect on you."

I rolled my eyes. "Sure. It wasn't just an excuse to cheat!" I replied sarcastically.

Garroth chuckled. "Exactly! See, I knew you would get me the second I laid my eyes on you."

I smiled. "The second you laid your eyes on me, you broke my arm."

"You're really bringing that up right now?"

"Wait, he WHAT?!?"

I chuckled nervously. "Oh nothing, Andi. I just forgot to tell you how we met. You see, when we first met, Garroth and I got into a fight. Sense I had Aaron's armor though, it fit me like a guy and they didn't know I was a girl. We fought and I won." I smirked over at Garroth who rolled his eyes. " But, when I helped Garroth off the ground, he pinned my arm behind me which broke it."

Garroth frowned. "That's not what happened! I broke your arm and then you beat me."

I looked over at Garroth. "Garroth, sweetie, you're making yourself look bad. You're pretty much saying I beat you, even though I had a broken arm in the process."

Garroth shook his head and chuckled. "Whatever you say, sweetheart." He placed a kiss on the top of my head before we walked inside.

But not before I overheard Andi and Laurence talking.

"They're weird."

"That's my sister for ya."
