The Nether (Part 3)

GARROTH'S POV

As we walked through the hallways of the fortress, no one talked. We only listened.

An eerie red light shone at the end of the hallway.

I and the others had our swords out as we approached the end of the hallway. As we near the end of the hallway, we walked closer to the wall, hoping not to be seen by whatever may lurk around the corner.

I signaled everyone to be quiet before sneaking a look around the corner.

A girl in a red and black dress was walking with a man wearing a red hat.
Their backs were turned to us, talking.

I turned around to the others. "There are two shadow knights. But they're walking away from us." I whispered.

Andi smart. "Well, I think we can-" she stopped midsentence, her eyes widened as she looked past me.

I turned to see the two shadow knights right next to me. I stumbled back in surprise, managing to trip over Aaron's foot while doing so.

The girl smirked, scoffing at me.

I mumbled picking, myself up off the ground.

She smirked. "You must be the intruders Gene was telling us about. "

I examined the two.

The girls smirked at us. Her long brown hair fell to her waist. The tip of a bow peeked over her shoulder, it secured on her back. A quiver of arrows was also on her. She looked about my age, maybe a little younger. She seemed very calm.

The man on the other hand was fidgeting, a wicked grin on his face. his curly white hair poked out from underneath his red top hat. His jacket seemed to be made out of some sort of animal skin and covered parts of his red shirt.

He was holding a staff.

The staff itself was interesting. It was made out of wood. But the wood looked old and frail. Knots and bumps covered it. At the top, it was fashioned into for tongs that kept a red jewel in place.

I was guessing it was magik.

The girl smirked. "Allow us to introduce ourselves. My name is Melody; This is Carl." She looked over at her accomplice.

"Hello!" Carl answered in a dumb voice.

Aaron looked at him weirdly.

Melody rolled her eyes at Carl before looking at Aaron and smirking.

She walked over to Aaron, tracing a finger along his arm. "And what's your name, cutie?"

As I watched, I noticed Aphmau glaring at Melody.

I couldn't blame her. Her and Aaron had been dating for a few years now.

"What do you want?" Andi hissed.

Melody smiled innocently. "Oh, nothing. Other then to end you."

I have a mini story to tell you guys! PLEASE READ!

So one day, I was working on writing this story. My bro walked in front of me and sat down at the computer to play MC. I wanted to tell him how many views I got on my book. So I started to tell him when he cut me off.

"Victoria... I don't care."

And he went back to playing MC. So, after sulking for about two seconds, I went back to writing.

After a while, he got bored of MC and I took this opportunity to tell him what was going on in my book.

Normally, he would say, "Yeah I don't care." But he actually listened. So after I finished, he asked if he could write a chapter in the book.

I told him no because the chapter would be two sentences long.

'Then everyone got ran over by a steamroller. The end.'

Seriously. So i told him he could create a character. Thus, Carl was made.

Carl is my brothers OC and he is based off of Carl from 'Llama's with Hats' a YouTube series we both love.
