YOUR POV

"Where are we going?" Garroth demanded again.

The guard just smiled and pulled a lever. A dark smoke came into mine and Garroth's cells.

"(E/C)! It's sleeping gas..." He was cut off as he fell to the ground.

"Garroth!" My vision started blurring. I knew I was going to faint so I sat down so I didn't get hurt. Then, I blacked out.

I woke up to a strange sound. It sounded sort of like a siren, just deeper and not as loud. I opened my eyes. The first thing I noticed was that I was not in my cell anymore. The ceiling was made out of a red colored stone. I didn't know what it was. Then it hit me. Nether-rack . I tried to sit up. Instead, I just heard a clanking sound. I looked to my wrists. There were chains on them. I looked at my feet and saw the same thing.

"Oh no... This CANNOT be happening. Where is Garroth?!?"

I opened my mouth to scream but no sound came out. I looked down. Sure enough, I was on a Nether alter.

GARROTH'S POV

I woke up in what used to be my old bedroom.

Immediately, I had a thought cross my mind, "Where is (E/C)? I have to make sure she's safe..."

I sat up. The room still had all of my old belongings that I had left when I fled to Phoenix Drop. I looked around, but I didn't see (E/C). I stood up and walked over to my closet and opened it. All my old clothes were still there.

I took one down. I wouldn't be able to fit my arms in the sleeves even if I tried! I only ran away a year ago... I guess a lot happens in a year's time.

I hung it back up and walked over to the door. I pulled on the handle. The door wouldn't budge. I tried harder. It still wouldn't move.

"They must have locked it from the outside."

I went back over to my closet where I kept an emergency supply of tools when I was a kid. I opened the chest they were in and found every iron tool. A pickaxe, a hoe, a axe, a sword, and a shovel. I grabbed the axe.

I walked back over to the door and chopped at it with all my might.

"I need to save (E/C)." That's all I kept running through my mind with every swing.

After about 10 hits, the door fell down. I put the axe away. I felt so proud that as a kid, I knew how to save my future self and fiancé. I walked through the doorway and ran into something that felt like a wall. I bounced back off of it. A green light came off of the door way.

I put my arm out and touched an invisible force. As soon as I touched it, a green light flickered across the doorway.

I had seen this type of thing before. "Crud. A magiks barrier."

I looked over to the giant window that was next to my bed. I broke the glass and tried to step through. The same green light flickered.

"How would Zoey undo it?" I thought. "But, I don't have magiks."

YOUR POV

Someone walked into the room. I couldn't tell who it was though.

I felt someone breathing on my neck. I could tell it was Lord Garte, Garroth's father. He was breathing heavily and he smelled of root beer.

"What do you want?" I said.

Lord Garte laughed coldly. "I have a debt to pay to the Shadow Lord. I owe him three souls. And you happen to be a three in one deal. I have been waiting for the last year for some woman to come to me that happens to be pregnant with twins."

His cold-hearted stare scared me and more than anything, I wanted Garroth right next to me.

"So you're just going to sacrifice you own son's fiancé and children?!? That's twisted."

He laughed again. "I have been told I am twisted. I have also been told I am evil, a liar, wicked, and brilliant. That describes me. And do you know who got those traits?"

"Zane."

"and, sweetie, your lover boy, Garroth." He snarled at me. He exaggerated on sweetie and Garroth.

"You are a liar. Garroth has a heart of gold. His thoughts are pure and he loves me. GET AWAY FROM ME!" He had leaned in and was feeling my body.

"STOP IT! GET AWAY FROM ME!"

He smirked and let go.

"You see this portal?" He pointed to the nether portal behind him.

I didn't reply and he continued, "In a few minutes, you will become a shadow knight and THAT will settle my debt with the Shadow Lord. And, there is nothing that lover boy can do to stop it. The transformation has already began. In a few minutes, you won't remember anything of your past and all you will want to do is kill everyone in your precious village."

"No." I said.

"What did you say?" He leaned in closer, daring me to say it again.

I turned to his ear, "NO!" I shouted, right into his ear.

"Agh! Petty girl..." he mumbled as he walked away, rubbing his ear.

I smirked. That would show him.

A jolt ran through my body. "AGGHH!" I screamed in pain.

Lord Garte ran to my side, grinning. "It will be done soon..." he was cut off when the door was kicked open.

"Lauren... AGGGH!" I screamed again. Laurence had burst through the door along with a young lady with light purple hair and a black outfit. Laurence had his sword out and the lady had a purple ball of energy between her hands.

Laurence had a worried look on his face. "It already started... " he mumbled loud enough for me to hear him.

"AGGGH!" I screamed again as another jolt surged through me, boiling my blood.

The girl with purple hair blasted the portal into bits, causing pieces to fly everywhere. She took care of Lord Garte while Laurence rushed to my side. He undid my locks and I sat up. All my blood rushed to my head and my vision blurred. I heard Laurence say, "(E/C), think of Garroth!", before I blacked out.

GARROTH'S POV

This is so frustrating. I can't even get out of my own room. I don't know where my fiancé is and if she's in danger.

"UGH!" I hit the force field with my fists in anger. Normally, the green light would flash across, but this time, it was blue.

I looked up and hit it again. Maybe having found a way out, I had cooled down. The light was green again.

"UGH!" I hit it again, this time it flashed blue. I continued hitting it, pretending it was my father's face.

Suddenly, my hand felt really hot, but I didn't care. I threw one last punch. The force field shattered into lots of pieces, as if it was glass. I looked down at my hand. A blue aurora surrounded my hand and then faded.

I looked back up. I didn't have time to figure that out right now. I had to find (E/C).
