YOUR POV
After opening all the gifts, there was a total of a pink and blue crochet blankets (1 pink blanket, 1 blue blanket), diapers, a cute dress for Lia and a t-shirt and jeans for Finn; which by the way, he would be adorable in; some rattles and blocks and so on.
Kawaii~Chan got similar stuff.
Half-way through opening a present, Lia let out an unsatisfied scream.
I frowned and picked up my crying baby from the stroller before gently rocking her. I rubbed circles on her back.
Lia still whaled.
I frowned and started patting her back. Maybe her stomach was upsetting her.
Her whaling set off her older brother.
I sighed and handed Lia to Garroth in order to get Finn.
Lia almost immediately calmed down after Garroth held on to her.
I shook my head. She was definitely a daddy's girl. I grabbed a bottle from the diaper bag I and Garroth had brought and handed Garroth the bottle which already had formula in it. I grabbed a second one for Finn and sat back down on the chair and fed him.
He angrily sucked at the bottle, mad that he had been woken up. About half-way through the bottle, I set it down.
His eyebrows scrunched and he started whining again. I set him up on my left shoulder and started patting his back.
By now, everyone was watching Kawaii~Chan open a gift from Dale and Molly.
I smiled and continued to burp Finn.
His little head wobbled around and his arms flailed.
I placed my hand on the back of his head to steady him. I placed him in my right arm again and fed him the rest of the bottle.
He slowly sucked all the formula out and fell asleep as I gently rocked him.
By now, Garroth had just gotten Lia to sleep and was sitting in the chair next to mine.
I sighed happily and watched Kawaii~Chan open the next present.
~PRESENT~TIME~ (pun not intended)
I looked longingly at my armor. For the last 9 months, it had been sitting on its stand, waiting to be used. However, even if I wanted to use it, I don't think it would offer much protection. It had gotten a little rusty and was falling apart. And, sense it's 9 months later, I don't even think it would fit me anymore.
I smiled at my armor before I headed upstairs. I walked to the kitchen to grab something to eat before going upstairs to mine and Garroth's room. I quickly grabbed a juice box and sat down at the island counter. I spaced out before noticing Garroth was across from me staring at me.
"Oh! Sorry, I didn't see you there."
Garroth smiled. "I could tell. A-anyway, the twins are both asleep upstairs."
I yawned and stretched. "Then we should probably get to bed. They'll probably be up at 3... again."
Garroth smiled. "I didn't get to give you my gift at the baby-shower." He placed a small light blue box with a cute light pink bow on it in front of me.
"Garroth, you didn't have to..."
"I wanted to though."
I smiled and opened the box.
In the box, there was close to nothing; just a single slip of paper that was folded over on itself. I placed the box down and picked up the slip of paper with a confused look on my face.
