YOUR POV

I sat down on the bench, ready to pass out from exhaustion.

"Oh my Irene... I needed that." Nicole said with a grin and took a drink of water. "Not many people can keep up with me like that in a fight."

I smirked. "I may be a little rusty, but I'm still good. I used to spend all my free-time training back in Thurmond."

Nicole gulped down more water. "I can tell. The techniques you used while fist fighting where unique. I haven't seen them before. Some of the moves you used really caught me off guard."

I smiled. Nicole would make an amazing sister-in-law, if indeed I did get married to Ashton.

Or if I got married to Garroth and she got married to Zane...

The voices in my head are going to kill me... they almost succeeded last time.

I sighed. "Garroth taught me a couple of them before he die-"

"Come with us, Princess (Y/n), Princess Nicole." He grabbed my arm tightly and started to drag Nicole and I out of the building.

I huffed and yanked my arm out of his grip. "I can walk on my own." I mumbled and Nicole glared at him before he dropped her arm, intimidated by her look. Nicole and I walked towards the castle, unsure of what awaited us inside.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I and Nicole were shoved into a room by our "body guards".
"Hey! Let us out!" Nicole banged on the door but it was locked.
"Hello, girls!" A giddy voice behind us scared me.
Nicole's eyes widened. "Mom? What's going on?"
Her mother's eyebrows furrowed for a moment before returning to her happy, giddy look. "Wedding prep!" She said in a sing-song voice. She started fangirling but then regained her composure and turned to me. "It's nice to finally meet you (Y/n)! I'm Faith, Nicole and Ashton's mother. I'm so glad my son has found such a beautiful girl to be with!" She started fangirling again.
I looked over at Nicole in confusion. Does she not know I'm being forced to do this?
As if Nicole read my mind, she mouthed, 'She doesn't know".
I nodded in understanding.
"Well, why don't you go take a nice long bath (Y/n). I know I was so nervous the day before I was married!"
"The wedding is tomorrow?" I wanted to scream and yell, but I managed to keep my voice calm. Although I felt my chest and hands heat up, I kept it under control.
Faith nodded. "Yep! At 1 O'clock sharp you will walk down the aisle!"
I wanted to cry; I wanted to break down and fall apart; I wanted to give up. But I can't. That's not what Garroth would have wanted me to do. He would want me to live in Phoenix Drop and rebuild my life, as well as the village.
A lone tear dripped down my face and I quickly wiped it off. Everyone I knew and loved is dead, or missing. Or maybe they're all alive, and I'm the one missing.
Don't get your hopes up.
I sighed and walked into a smaller section of the room.
A large bath full of steaming water was waiting for me.
I stripped off my clothes; one's that I had borrowed from Nicole. I put them in a pile on the floor and slipped into the water. The water covered my body up to the base of my neck.
It felt so good, so relaxing.
Faith walked in with a towel and set it down on a chair. She began to set stuff up on a desk with a mirror.
I ran my fingers over my ring that was on my left hand. I had taken if off the chain so as not to let the chain rust.
Faith knelt by the side of the tub. "Is that your engagement ring?" She looked at me with so much innocence and curiosity in her eyes, I knew there was no way she knew the truth of mine and Ashton's wedding.
"Yes." I replied with a short nod and smiled down at my ring. "The man I love gave it to me. It's one of the most precious things I have." I looked down at it longingly.
Faith sighed. "I knew it."
I looked at her, confused.
"You are being forced to marry my son, are you not?"
Sorry this chapter was short! The next one is longer!
