YOUR POV

~LATER~

After struggling for a while, I opened my eyes.

The light blinded me and I squinted my eyes shut.

"She has woken." I heard a muffled voice say.

I slowly opened my eyes, letting them adjust to the light. As I started to open them, something light blue flashed in front of me.

Hmm... What was that?

I fully opened my eyes. As I looked around, I noticed the room I was in. I wasn't sure if I was still in Scaleswind though. I didn't know where I was!

It was a small room, with pure white panels everywhere. In the middle of one wall, a black glass took up most of the space.

I frowned.

It was probably a one way window. They could see me but I couldn't see them. We had them back in Thurmond in our prison.

There was a medal door on one wall (the wall I was facing), that had several bolts and locks.

A communication amulet sat on the floor in front of me. I moved my hands to grab it, but my hands wouldn't budge. Neither would my feet. I looked down to see my legs chained to the wall; my arms also. It was a painful position.

I tried shifting my position, but nothing helped the uncomfortable position.

"What the-"

I was cut off by the door opening.

Three men walked into the room, closing the door behind them, it automatically locking behind them.

The oldest looking man stepped forward, grabbed the amulet and tossed it to one of the other men, who tucked it in his cloak. The man bowed. "It's nice to finally meet you (Y/n), Princess of Thurmond."

I gulped. I can't believe I'm about to say this...

"Find a new bride for your son. My father will give you whatever you want for me to be safely returned home."

The man stared at me before laughing. "Your father? Ha! I'm sure he would! However, as far as he knows, you could be dead. That's why he sent your sister and brother to find you, correct? And they still haven't returned home to him, have they? They've been worried sick about you, and when they finally found you, you don't want to go home. What a shame."

I grit my teeth.

"Sir, the stabilizers are ready and in neutral." A voice came out of nowhere.

"Good."

The older man moved closer to me.

"You see, (Y/n), my son must marry in order to inherit the Lordship title. However, he has no one as a romantic interest, thus, making me take action. The wedding may be put off for a couple more days in order for the wedding preparations to be made. But no matter; you two will be married within a few days."

I saw a younger man roll his eyes and hit a button next to him on the wall. I fell to the floor; the chains were still on me.

The older man fronted and turned to the younger man. "Ashton, you ruined my fun."

Ashton scoffed. "Do you think I care?" Ashton walked over to me, grabbed my arm and pulled me up roughly.

"Basically, we're both being forced to marry each other. Blah, blah, blah. We have to have a son within the next 3 years. But we can't do anything to you because there is one of the most powerful magiks barriers ever seen on you. Also-"

"Woah, woah, woah! Back it up there!"

Ashton looked confused. "Umm, what?"

I was getting angry. "What'd you say a minute ago?"

"Umm, there's a magiks barrier arou-"

"Not that! I am NOT having a kid with you!" I felt the heat rising up in my chest as I stood up. My face was turning red.

Ashton looked a little frightened.

But his father smirked. "Turn the shadow setting to 10."

Slowly, I felt my shadow-energy start draining out of me.

I fell to my knees once more. My breathing became shaky and my vision started to blur.

"Stop."

My vision began to clear and I tried to stand. My knees buckled and I collapsed to the ground.

"W-What was that?... WERE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!?"

"Level 15."

I couldn't stay on my knees anymore. My body collapsed until I was lying on the floor.

"Father, stop. We need her conscious."

The Lord of Scaleswind grunted before turning to the black window. "Stop."

I was breathing heavily and sweat was starting to bead on my face.

Do I really rely on my shadow-power that much?

I closed my eyes and was about to slip into unconsciousness when a stinging pain exploded on my cheek. I gasped in surprise, my eyes wide open now.

I looked up to see the Lord of Scaleswind grabbed my chin and yanked my head so I looked at him.

"You have a very powerful magiks protection barrier on yourself. We need to take it off. Who put it on you?"

"I-I only knew one person with super powerful magiks, and he's... he's dead."

"Don't their magiks disappear if someone dies?" Ashton whispered to the man in the cloak. The man nodded. I pretended to not notice.

So, does that mean Garroth ISN'T dead?

A tear slipped down my face before I realized my mistake.

The Lord of Scaleswind smirked. "Oh! So this person, this man, was important to you, aei?"

I grit my teeth.

"HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT GARROTH LIKE THAT!"

The Lord's smirk grew. "Who was this Garroth? Garroth Ro'Meave? You're dead fiancé?" He chuckled. "This is news. I didn't know he was dead. I send my condolences."

"HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME LIKE THAT!" Suddenly, I was lurched back against the wall; knocking the breath out of me. I looked up to see Ashton with his hand on the button.

"I've had enough." And with that, he stormed out of the room.

The Lord smirked again. "Oh, and (Y/n), before I leave," He looked even more evil. "The next 7 hours are going to be a living hell for you." He walked out of the room and the man in the cloak stood in front of me.

He pointed and did some weird hand thing.

I watched, confused.

"..." he mumbled something before thrusting a hand out at me.

Pain surged through my body.

I screamed in pain. The pain continued for a little before it faded off. I could barely open my eyes. But I saw the man thrust his hand out towards me again before the pain tripled and ripped through me.

Hey guys! As for the last sentence, NOT LITERALLY. You were not ripped in two.
