The Return to Phoenix Drop

GARROTH'S POV

I stepped out into the hall and rushed to the main hall. I asked a few people if they had seen my father. Most of them said he was going towards the castle basement. I thanked them and rushed down to the basement. I followed the corridors and the trail of unconscious guards.

"I wonder who did this..." I thought as I looked at all the guards. Finally, I came to a room with the door smashed in. I walked through. I saw a destroyed portal surrounded by nether rack.

"NO!"

Laurence and Sasha knelt down on the ground with (E/C) in Laurence's arms. But it didn't look like (E/C). Her hair was silver. Her eyes were closed and every once in a while, she would jerk.

"No... LAURANCE! WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?"

He looked up with a mixture of surprise and sadness in his eyes.

He didn't answer, Sasha answered for him, "Your father had a debt of three souls to the Shadow Lord. (E/C) just happened to be a three-in-one package. Your father almost turned her into a shadow knight."

Tears streamed down my face as I raced over to (E/C).

"Will she be okay?" I asked Laurence. He stayed silent. "LAURENCE! Will she be okay?" I didn't have any patience right now.

He shook his head, "I... I don't know Garroth. It's sort of like what they did to me. The process was only half completed. I'm assuming that's why her hair changed color."

I was holding (E/C)'s hand in mine and a tear fell onto her hand. I wiped my eyes and then her hand.

"But, you were okay, right?"

Laurence nodded, "For the most part. But there were side affects..."

"Like Laurence became blind for a small period of time..." Sasha interrupted.

"Then again," Laurence shot Sasha a look and she shrugged, "Her hair turning color might be the only side affect."

"Let's just hope that her hair turning silver is the only side-effect." Sasha confirmed.

"We need to get her back to Phoenix Drop."

YOUR POV

I heard voices, all in hushed whispers. My eyes were still closed, but I could tell that two of the voices were Garroth's and Laurence's. A female voice was talking with them to but I didn't recognize it.

"Ughh," I moaned. My head was throbbing and it really hurt.

The voices stopped and I heard a door close.

"(E/C)?" I heard Garroth whisper in my ear.

"Garroth, my head hurts..." I said as I sat up. A ringing sound vibrated back and forth in my head. I opened my eyes and saw Garroth's eyes were all red and puffy, like he had been crying.

He looked into my eyes and his eyes got huge.

"(E/C)! Your eyes! They're red! It must be another side effect..." He mumbled the last part.

"A side effect of what?" I searched my mind for what happened before I fainted, but I couldn't find anything.

"Don't you remember? My father almost turned you into a shadow knight. Luckily, Laurence and Sasha got there before the process was complete. Your eyes and your hair..."

I looked down. Long strands of silver hair fell across my bed.

"WHAT?!? GARROTH! THE TWINS! WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE TWINS?!? ARE THEY GOING TO BE OKAY?" I practically screamed in his face.
