YOUR POV

I smiled down at three year old Finn, holding onto my leg. I bent down and picked him up, smiling.

We were outside our house, along with Lia and Garroth.

Garroth laughed as Lia jumped in a puddle. It had rained last night.

It was going to be the twins birthday next week and both Finn and Ophelia were growing to be shy.

So much had changed sense mine and Garroth's wedding. For one, Andi and Laurence are married. Apparently, Laurence had proposed on mine and Garroth's wedding night. Two, the doctors had told Garroth and I when the twins were born that they were completely human and that my shadow-knight transformation hadn't effected them.

However, the doctors were wrong.

Lia has my shadow-knight genes; we found that out the hard way.

~Flashback~

"Lia, no more cookies! You've already had 3!"

"More cookies!"

"No! You've had enough." I laughed.

Lia's face dropped. "I want more." She pouted.

"You've had enough, Pumpkin." I turned around to put the freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies in a container.

I heard footsteps as Garroth came downstairs and into the kitchen. He kissed my cheek quickly. "I'm supposed to go on patrol. Love you."

I smiled. "Love you too."

He left quickly and Lia glared at the spot where he left.

I turned to face her and almost dropped the cookies.

Her eyes were bright red, like mine.

"Lia..."

"Daddy said goodbye to Mommy, but not Lia..." She mumbled.

Alarm bells went off in my head.

Why is she speaking in third-person?!?

"First Mommy didn't give Lia cookies and then Daddy ignored her."

"Lia, calm down."

Apparently that was the wrong thing to say.

Next thing I knew, I was ducking to avoid a ball of energy. However, it wasn't like what I had. It was red, yes, but it also had blue electricity snapping all around it.

I stood up.

It hadn't done much damage it you didn't include the smothering hole in the wall next to me.

~Flashback~End~

"Finn, let's go by Daddy."

He nodded sleepily.

I laughed lightly. I walked over with him in my arms.

His head rested lightly on my shoulder.

I walked over to Lia and Garroth.

Lia tilted her head, water sprayed up her legs from jumping in puddles. "Finn's tired?"

I smiled. "Just a little bit. You look tired too."

Lia yawned. "I'm not tired."

Garroth laughed lightly. "Come on Princess. I think it's nap time."

Lia frowned, her eyes glistening. "Aww..."
