YOUR POV

The man in black held up an iron blade to Garroth's throat.

Thump.

The man fell to the ground with a thump. Garroth and I just stared at him, trying to figure out what just happened. I looked up to find Zane with a sword in his hand, and Nicole standing by him blushing slightly.

I stood there speechless as I steadied their faces. Nicole's bright red lipstick was smeared a little, where as Zane had smudged red to the left of his lips.

His eyes followed my gaze, and he sub-consciously wiped his mouth.

"Looks like someone was kissing his 'girlfriend'." I thought with a smile. I turned to Garroth who was smirking at Zane, who was staring at his older brother. I did my best to not start laughing.

"Thanks..." Garroth started.

Zane glared at Garroth and then nodded. "No problem." Zane turned to me. "(Y/n), are you okay?"

I nodded shakily."A little bit shaken but other than that, I'm fine. Thank you, Zane. Hey Nicole, you wanna go shopping with me?"

Nicole looked hesitantly at Zane before she nodded. "Yeah, that'd be fun."

"Would it be okay if I come?"Zane asked quickly.

I nodded. "Of course! We'll find the perfect lacy bra for you."

Zane blushed and so did Nicole. I laughed.

Garroth grinned at me before placing his arm around his younger brother's shoulders. "Nah, why don't we have a bro day. Just you and me."

Zane nodded, his face still red."Sure. What do you want to do?"

I grabbed Nicole's hand. "Let's go."

I dragged her out of the castle towards the tavern. "Umm, I'll have a large (favorite drink). Nicole, would you like?"

"Umm..."

While Nicole ordered, I looked around the tavern. The wooden arches were amazingly beautiful. The details were incredible to.

"Those inscriptions on the beams are a story. We're too far away to tell which story though."

I looked over at Nicole. "Hmm, that's pretty cool!"

"Yeah, it is pretty cool. Zane was showing me the one on the doorframe a few days ago. It told the story of the Okasian villagers defeating the Shadow Lord."

"Neat." I continued to look around when I saw a balcony peering over the rest of the tavern. I pointed it out to Nicole. "Let's go up there. Maybe we can see the inscriptions from there!"

We hurriedly walked up the stairs to the balcony.

"Woah. It's beautiful!" Nicole stated in awe.

We looked over everything and we could make out the tiny pictures on the beams.

"It looks like this is a story of how Okasis was built." Nicole pointed out.

We studied the pictures for a little while before heading down the stairs to the main floor in the tavern.

Nicole was grinning and was chatting about the different pictures that were on the beams.

We headed out to some different stops and we picked up some little gadgets along the way. I FINALLY got a communication amulet so I could stop stealing Laurence's.
