Birthday Wishes

YOUR POV

"Agh!" I sat up in bed quickly. Garroth was also sitting up, staring at me.

I started crying.

"Hey, (Y/n)..." Garroth wrapped me in his arms.

I sat in his lap, crying like a child.

"Shh, calm down. What's wrong?"

I didn't answer and just continued to cry.

He gently stroked my silver hair and I felt his shirt become wet under my face. I wrapped my arms around his neck and cried.

There was a knock on the door and the door opened.

"Hey, is everything..." Laurence stopped as he saw Garroth and I cuddled up.

"Oh my Irene, (Y/n) are you okay?" Laurence rushed over to where Garroth was holding me.

I nodded weakly. "Y-yes. I think. G-Garroth..." I started crying again. I gripped onto him tighter. I didn't want to lose him.

"Shh, (y/n), you're safe now."

I felt my eyelids give way as I slowly drifted off to sleep in Garroth's arms.

~THREE~DAYS~LATER~

"Hey, birthday-boy!" I said to my handsome fiancé, hugging him from behind.

"Hey, you!" He turned around and kissed me, full on. It had been a while sense we had done this.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me. I wanted more of him. I NEEDED more of him.

His hands gently rested on my waist. I felt his grip tighten as I started to pull away.

"No." He mumbled against my lips and then instantly reconnected his to mine.

I leaned my head down, causing us to stop. "Garroth..." I said breathlessly.

He blushed shyly. "Sorry. I just missed doing that so much."

I smiled. That's the Garroth I knew. Blushing because of his own fiancé.

"Hmm... I want to give you your present at Zane's in Okasis if that's alright."

He smiled and quickly pecked my lips. "Of course it's alright. All I want is you though."

I giggled at his cheesiness and we separated, still holding each other's hand.

"Umm... not weird or awkward for me... AT ALL." Brendan started.

I blushed, instantly realizing I just kissed my soon-to-be-husband in front of another guard. I felt the blush wildly spreading across my features. I gently nodded, knowing he would know where to go for my plan.

Brendan smiled and left towards the gate.

He and Garroth had recently been talking a lot, which is great, because Garroth needs a guy-friend other than Laurence and Dante. Dante is almost busy either working or helping Kawaii~Chan with Nekoette, while Laurence spends pretty much all his time with Aphmau, either working on their jobs (now that Laurence is head guard) or making out. They often multi-task with the two options.

I giggled at my thoughts.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing. Just thinking about how cute Aphmau and Laurence are together."

Garroth smiled and playfully rolled his eyes. "Why did you let Kawaii~Chan get you into shipping?"

We both laughed.

"Come on." I dragged him by the hand to Kiki's barn. Kiki stood with two horses, waiting for us, a silly grin on her face. I had told her earlier of what I had planned for Garroth and I. She thought it was romantic.

Garroth looked over at me with a questioning look.

I smiled and got onto the white mare, Snowy.

Garroth got onto the black stallion, Lightning.

I smiled at Garroth. "Just follow me and you'll understand."

I nicked to Snowy and then tapped her back legs, causing her to break into a gallop. I closed my eyes for a moment, the wind whistling in my ear. My hair flew backwards, beating against the back of my neck.

I burst through the Phoenix Drop gates, which I had asked Brendan to leave open, and he did.

Snowy and I rushed down the path in the woods. Garroth's horse was right behind us and soon beside us.

I looked over at Garroth and he smiled.

That smile could melt me on the spot.

I shook my head. I needed to concentrate. This day had to be perfect. I nicked softly to Snowy, signaling for her to slow down. I saw Garroth do the same.

Snowy slowed to a stop at a certain part in the woods.

I dismounted Snowy and tied her reigns to a post that I had set up earlier for this specific reason.

Garroth hopped off Lightning and tied Lighting up next to Snowy.

I sighed, remembering the horse I had back in Thurmond, Lexi, the same one I ran away on. I wonder where she is.

I grabbed Garroth's hand and pulled him along. I knew where we were going, but I didn't want Garroth to know, so as we went through the trees, I threw in some twists and turns.

"(Y/n)! Wait! Where are we going?"

I looked back at him and smiled. "That's for me to know and for you to find out."

I continued pulling him along until we made it.

In front of us was the lake we met at. The exact spot too. I had asked Dante to help me with this sense I had helped him with Kawaii~Chan's surprise. He had agreed and had helped me set up a picnic table by the water's edge, where we had met. I had set out some of Garroth's favorite food on the table. They were mostly desserts...

"Woah..." Garroth was lost for words.

"So, do you like it?" I asked nervously.

The next second I was engulfed by Garroth in a hug.

He placed a kiss on the top of my head. "I love it, (Y/n)." He whispered. I could barely hear him.

"Garroth! I think four slices of Kawaii~Chan's cake is enough."

"Please?" Garroth whined. "Just one more slice?"

I laughed. "That's what you said three slices ago. You're going to be fat, mister!"

"Ha ha. No I'm not. I'm twenty now. I can make my own decisions. I'm a big boy now."

I smiled. "Oh, and you weren't a big boy before when you met me, broke my arm, asked me on a date, asked me to marry yo-"

"Okay, okay." Garroth chuckled. "I get your point."

He got up from the table and I followed.

We walked over to the rock where Garroth was sitting when I first saw him. He sat down, his back resting against the front side of the rock.

I didn't hesitate before sitting down between his legs.

He wrapped his arms around me, resting his hands on the top of my stomach.

"Soon." He whispered in my ear. "It's so close, but I don't want to wait."

I smile at his words. "Neither do I."
