(Kimberly)

The hardest part of wanting to take care of others is when you can barely find time to take care of yourself. I am the quiet girl no one really understands me because they see me being quiet one second and being crazy with my friends the next. My little sister who is fourteen teaches me to always find time in the day to relax and smile and appreciate the world. My parents constantly fighting behind their doors all night, everyday make me wonder if it would just be easier to have them separate.

I don't even think they know we can hear them, but it would be smart to notice that even a closed door can't hide the fact that they both are unhappy but don't get me wrong they are great parents. When that door opens they pretend to be happy and sometimes I even start to believe it. Until the door closes again that is.

Waking up for school today I put on some distressed boyfriend jeans a white tank top and my grey cardigan before I put all my homework in my bag and tided my out of control curly hair into a messy bun before only putting some concealer under my eyes and on places that looked tired.

"Morning Kimberly, you want a ride to school?" My dad asked at the door

"No I'm good. I promised ray I would take her into school early it's her first day of high school and  I'm so excited to be In the same school as her even if it's just one year cause I'm a senior.

"Ray! You planning on making us late?" I asked annoyed

"I can't find anything to wear." She cried opening the door.

"I smiled at my sister she fucking glowed up this summer in jealous. She dyed her hair back to the original colour let it grow out and she just all out looks amazing.

"Just wear anything and lets go" I said

"Can I borrow that shirt?" She asked

"The one I'm wearing?" I asked

"Please I basically picked that one for you"

"No kat did holy shit take the shirt let's go"  I said tossing the shirt and going back to my room to get another random shirt and threw it on before meeting ray down stairs. Mom and dad argued at the table  in a hush tone

Ray and I became so close this year we are almost the same person. The only difference is I don't Get too  effected by my parents arguing but she does. She had a history of not letting anyone in and only wanting to be alone for with kat and I. That's because of the level of stress and anxiety she gets from seeing them fight. I wish they would fight less only because it breaks my sisters heart

"Ignore it let's go," I said pulling her outside

We stayed quiet and got in the car but as I drove I saw her twisting around nervously

"So what do you do when you get to school?" I asked her since I already went in over the summer to get my timetable and locker number

"Uh the email said go to the office right away to get everything and then go to period one."

"Your late so I'll come with you. Are you excited to see everyone?" I asked her

"I was a loser in middle school remember. No one knows your name"

"Your still a loser" I said teasing her as she punched my shoulder

"No I'm serious, you and kat have it easy everyone loves you and you have eachother I don't have a best friend"

"Hey!" I said
