I sat up in my bed sweating and breathing heavy. It was just a nightmare, wait, it really happened. My hand brushed over my now large scar on my leg. I finally remember that day. That day everyone wanted me to remember. And now I wish I could forget it because I remember it every time I go to sleep. A lot had changed. Actually it's my first night back in town since I got out of the hospital. My dad took me to live in Vancouver near an amazing rehab facility and they really helped. I beat the odds and I regained everything because of them. I can dance, walk, run. All things I never thought I would do again. My scars are all fading and soon the only mark left will be the one on my leg.
