My mom dragged me around the crowded hall helping me meet and remember people. It felt like the whole town was here.
"Mommas happy" Rayanna said as I held her on my hip
"Yeah she is isn't she?" I asked smiling
"Daddy hasn't called me in a long time" she said
"He will" I smiled knowing he's been rather distant lately
"Kimberly," I heard a voice call me. I turned to see Nick. My ex-best friend.
"Nick?" I asked
He looked down and then smiled giving me an awkward hug. I wanted to tell him to go away but then again I can't cause a scene
"Look I'm really sorry, about everything. I swear I would never wish this on you. And when I saw those videos and pictures I couldn't.. I couldn't imagine you getting hurt and me not telling you how truly sorry I am."
"W-what videos?" I asked
So he showed me. Pictures my mom took of my without my permission after the fact that I legally had the right to not have anyone see me in that hospital.
I wanted to cry. My own mother has become the talk of the town because she was showing everyone the shark bite girl .
"I thought you knew" he said
"I didn't, I need to find Kat she's not gonna believe this"
"Oh she knows.."
"She knows?" I asked
"Yeah? Your moms been updating them about everything. They got updates everyday. She even facetimed them duringthe infection in your leg" he said
"You mean the 4 days I was in pain and screamed none stop until I was begging them to take my leg off" I said
"I didn't know.. Our moms still talk that's how I know"
"All my friends got these updates?" I asked
"Yeah actually almost everyone in this room" he said
"Okay, thanks" I said walking away. My chest felt like it was going to explode as I walked through the crowd. I picked up a drink off a tray
"Hey you can't have that" the server said
"It's my party" I said taking two of the shots and downing them before taking two more. And putting them back on the tray.
I walked passed people until I was grabbed and stopped by holland surrounded by all my friends or should I say liars.
Surrounded by liars.
"Woah you don't look so good, are you okay?" Kat asked
