I was one the way to pick up Nick since he wanted to hangout today so I thought it would be nice to pick up Kim and have a little day for the original squad but when I got to Kim's house her car was gone. I decided to knock on the door to make sure everything was okay and the closer I got to the house the louder the yelling got, her parents are fighting maybe I shouldn't knock. I heard a tapping sound come from Ray's window up stairs so I signalled for her to come down. In seconds she opened the front door and closed it running into my arms.
"Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded and let go of me but I could tell she was scared and had been crying
"I'm sorry your alone Rayanna. Wheres Kim does she know they are fighting?" I asked
"No, she's surfing" she told me
"Oh.. Did you heard why they are fighting?" I asked
Ray nodded and pulled me to their backyard in front to their old barn that was there when the borough the barn. It was all painted and cleaned up when I looked through the window it was all fixed there was a kitchen living room, everything like we used to talk about doing, she never told me they were fixing it up.
"Daddy wanted to surprise Kimmie but she wasn't home so he showed mommy and she said kimmie is too young to get this place and that daddy should have asked mommy first." Rayanna said
"Ray babe I don't want you going back in there" I said
"Can I go in here?" She asked
"Let's see if it's locked" I said tasting the door nob to see it was actually unlocked. It smelt new and it was really pretty I know she would love it.
"Okay, you can stay in here but lock all the doors and don't open the doors for anyone expect Kim get she gets here I'll call and make sure she comes back for you." I said kissing her forehead
"Kat?" Ray asked me
"Yes baby?"
"Why does mommy hate daddy?" She asked me breaking my heart.
"Ray your mom and dad love eachother so much and they love you and Kimberly. They just get made sometimes but fighting is good sometimes, it helps them learn to love eachother more" I said
"Do you want to know something?" I asked convincing her when she nodded I smiled and got down to her level
"Everyone fights. My parents fight sometimes" I said
