We're leaving today. I'm really gonna miss them. I've learned so much about my mom. One thing that I'll never forget it was sandy told Kian. That was so powerful to me. They don't even know I was listening. I think it's cute that Kian listens to me in the shower. Right now we're on the flight. Levi and I are playing patty cake.
"Mommy!" He yelled. I laughed and tickled him. I hugged him. It was all fun and games until I felt the lumps on his neck again. I liked at them. He started to wine.
"Kian." I pulled out one of his earbuds.
"What?" He looked up.
"They're back." He looked at his neck.
"Check for spots."
"You can only get chicken pox once."
"Measles?"
"I don't know." I was frustrated. My baby shouldn't have to be sick.
"They're usually a doctor on call. Ask a flight attendant." He says.
"Can you ask."
"Yeah." He set his laptop down and opened the little door. He came back a few minutes later.
"This your son?" She asked me.
"Yes." I showed her the bumps.
"Let me get the doctor on the phone." She left and returned a minute later.
"Hello. Who am I speaking with?"
"My name is Willa Carson my son has swollen lymph nodes."
"Your boys name?"
"Levi Carson."
"What's his condition?"
"He's fine. He's awake and moving."
"Fever?" I checked.
"Not that I know of."
"Has this happened before?"
"Yes actually couple weeks ago they said it was chicken pox."
"I couldn't really say but possibly measles. You need to see a doctor. What is the amount of time left on your flight?"
"2 hours I think."
"That shouldn't be bad. As soon as you land get to a hospital."
"Thank you so much."
"Have a nice flight. What hospital will you be going to?"
"I thinks Huntington."
"I will send over my evaluation."
"Dr. Marshal." I say.
"Ok perfect. I hope you boy is ok."
"Thank you. Have a nice day." I gave the phone to the flight attendant. I gave Levi to Kian. I stood up. I took a deep breath.
"Willa?" Kian asked.
"I just need a minute."
"He doesn't have it Willa."
"He could Kian!"
"Stop. Stop. Willa I know he's your boy but we're in this together." I remember what sandy said. He's been there for me through it all and he's not leaving. I sat down and he pulled me in.
"He's gonna be ok."
"We don't know that."

We rushed to the hospital. The guys were on their way. He's just too young. Why my boy? Why me? Why us? Levi was asleep in the bed. I snuggled with him.
"Willa we should go home."
"You go without me."
"You need rest."
"I can't leave him."
"You have to think about Ro. She needs sleep too."
"I don't want to leave him."
"The nurses will call us."
"Kian."
"Willa, do it for him. He need his mom fully rested." I stoked his head.
"He's just so little."
"The test haven't come back yet." Kian picked me up out of the bed and set me on the floor. I gave Levi is favorite stuffed animal.
"I love you buddy." I kissed his cheek. Kian out the blanket on him.
"He's gonna be here. For wedding?"
"Willa Jane, do not think like that."
"I have the right to worry! I am his mother!" He pulled me into a hug. I fought it but he won.
"Why don't we go tell the guys?"
"Ok." He took my hand and he walked out of the room. I held the necklace around my neck. The one lady gave me. We walked down the hall. Connor hugged me.
"I promise he'll be ok." He says. Sam walked passed us. He was mad because it happened on our watch.

"I know you don't want to talk or anything but could I lighten the mood?" Kian asked. I was curled in bed.
"Like what?"
"Play some Mario kart?" He knew that game as my weakness.
"You're evil."
"I know." I got up and we walked downstairs Ricky and Kian had it all set up. He handed me a controller. I sat in Kian lap and Ricky started the game. Kian won't turn round.
"I keep slipping!" I yelled.
"That's what she said." Ricky says.
"You mean that's what Jenn said?" I ask.
"I'm done." He stood up. Kian and I laughed. He sat back down and we kept playing.
"So she did or didn't say it?" Kian's asked.
"Willa said it."
"Hey!" Kian got all defensive.
"I don't slip." I say.
"I didn't need to know that! Ew! You two are nasty!"
"Clearly she doesn't slip." Kian or a hand in my stomach.
"You win. I can't stand to have this conversation."
"You started it." I say. I crossed the finish line.
"I need a break." I say. I stood up. Kian was trying to get me back to me but I kept being reminded of Levi. Why is my boy sick? Kian's phone rang. He picked it up.
"Ok. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you." He hung up.
"They have results on Levi." Kian says.

Sam, Kian, and I walked through the doors. The doctor talked to Sam and I.
"We took the same test again and one came back positive." He says. I gulped.
"Which is..." Sam said.
"Levi has stage 0 leukemia. That doesn't mean he has cancer that means he's likely to get it..." I blocked out everything she said after that. I started to cry. Kian walked over and held me. I full on cried. My little boy has cancer! I gripped Kian's shoulder. Sam hit his head against the wall. My life just crumbled because of one sentence.
