Chapter 42: I Told You

It was 3 am and I heard the front door unlock.
"Sam." I sat up and put a hand on his abdomen.
"What?" He sat up rubbing his eyes.
"Someone just unlocked the front door." I quietly got out of bed and took Levi into the bathroom. I saw Sam peeking the door open. I held Levi's head to my shoulder. I heard faint talking in the living room. I heard the bedroom door close. Then their hand was on the bathroom door knob.
"Willa it's ok." Sam stood there.
"Who was that?" I was gonna have a panic attack.
"Drunk friend needed to crash."
"Are they?"
"No I sent them home."

  What really happened: Sam POV
I walked out. It was just Mara.
"She's here, you can't be here." I whispered as I kissed her side of her face.
"Can we do it today, I'm sick of living in that dumpy Juliane."
"Ugh, I guess I could do that."
"We're gonna get him babe." She smiled.
"I know. Just like it's supposed to be." (Delusional fuck(s)

  "Just go back to sleep." Sam told me.
"Ok. Your sure it was nothing?"
"Absolutely, it's ok."
"Ok." We went back to bed and I fell asleep with Levi in my arms.

  I was in the kitchen making eggs and dancing to music. Levi was in his jumper.
"You are getting way too big." Sam said to Levi.
"Dada." He cried.
"Levi." I know he doesn't know what that mean but he shouldn't be saying that.
"Yeah that's me." Sam said.
"No he doesn't mean you."
"You let Kian brainwash your child." I didn't respond. I flipped the eggs on to two plates.
"I'm filming a colab today." He said.
"Ok that's fine." He took a bite. I gave a little piece to Levi and he gave the Same funny face.
"Connor-" I stopped myself.
"Connor what?"
"Connor said that Levi would be a picky eater."
"No talk of o2l or its remains."
"Ok." He was scaring me. He was texting someone.
"Are you done?" I asked pointing to his plate.
"Does it look like I'm done?"
"No." I softy said. Damn was his deal? I picked up Levi from the jumper and started feeding him.
"Did you not try giving him solid."
"We have a schedule Sam."
"Don't! Don't ever talk to me like that."
"You missed out of 3 months of his life you don't know him like I do. What is your problem?" I was about to pick up my fork when he strangled my wrist.
"Sam stop!" I yelled.
"Talk to me like that again and it won't be that insignificant."
"Don't you ever touch me like that again." His hand slapped across my face.
"Are you done or do you want more?" I didn't speak. I was shaking. Who is he?
"Answer me."
"I'm fine."
"Put my plate in the sink." I picked up the plate.
"And the cup."
"I'm feeding Levi I don't have superpowers."my hands were full.
"You just don't learn do you?"  He slapped the plate across room and it shattered on the floor.
"Clean it up." I didn't move.
"No."
"Excuse me?"
"You will not treat me like that. You don't get to slap me around. Get it yourself." I walked into the bedroom and started packing my things.
"Caroline can you come get me from Sam's?" I was crying.
"Of course."
"Put it down." Sam told me. He took the phone and hung up.
"Where are you going."
"To The Juliane." I lied.
"Don't lie to me bitch."
"Do me a favor and step away from your child."
"Why? He's mine."
"Sam back off."
"Leave bitch, I don't care." What kind of plan was this?! Actually the plan was simple: Sam knew Willa would run back to him so him and Mara came up with a plan: Mara leaves and Sam pampers Willa. Willa thinks Sam's a great guy but he back stabs her just like Kian said so she looks vulnerable and unfit for full custody. Giving him full custody. But he screwed it up when he hit her. He was going to jail. His career and his relationship with them went out the door. Man he's a slick fucker. He pushed me out he door I stood there confused as fuck. Mara walked up.
"Sup bitch." She walked inside. Sam kissed her and gripped her ass.
"The fuck?" Caroline pulled up and I got in the car.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"He completely played me."
"Your face honey!" He brushed her thumb across the bruise. I showed her my wrist.
"This is not ok!" She said. She pulled out of neighborhood. She pulled into a police station.

Back at the house:
"You hit her! Sam that wasn't the plan!" Mara yelled.
"Babe it's ok she's a fucking wimp. Levi will be ours real soon."

"No Caroline I can't."
"You better March yo ass in there right now."
"Car-"
"Do you want Levi?"
"I want to go to Dubai."
"Get yo ass out my car." She joked. I got out and we walked in.
"Can I help you?"
"She wants to report domestic violence." She looked up from her paper work.
"You're Willa Carson. Did Kian do this?!" She flipped. My guess was  #teamwilla
"Oh no. No." I said.
"Who?"
"Sam Pottorff." I whispered.
"Let's talk in my office."

  They said my claim was strong but I didn't have the power to keep this private. If someone found out they found out. Not much I can do.

  "Take me to the airport." I told Caroline.
"Willa? What?"
"I'm going to leave for a bit. I need a break from all this. I'm going to need to see a therapist."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"A ticket to Dubai is not cheap."
"I'll use all I have."
"It might be one way."
"The states will fly me back."
"Willa this is crazy."
"So is my life." She pulled up to departure. I got it of the car.
"I love you." She said to me.
"I love you too."
"Call me when you land."
"Ok." I walked into airport and waited in line to buy two tickets to Dubai. I remembered the tickets Kian bought for our honeymoon.
"Willa Jane!" I turned around and saw Kian. People starring. I ran into his arms. Levi was on my back in the wrap.
"Are you ok?" His hand griped my face.
"Yeah." I cried.
"Did he hurt you?"
"Yeah." I nodded. He was so pissed.
"Do me a favor." I said.
"Anything of course!"
"Don't go to his house."
"Willa-"
"No."
"He-"
"No."
"Did you report it?"
"Yes." He hugged me again.
"I'm sorry I ever questioned you. You are the love of my life and I can't imagine marring anyone other than you." He was crying harder than I was.
"I love you."
"I love you so much more." He pulled me away and kissed me. For the first time I realized that Kian was the one. He always has been its never going to change. This whole time I was following some stupid ruby rule when I should have been following my heart. People cheered...surprisingly.
"#lawleywedding!" 4 girls yelled. They got it all on film. Kian and I laughed as tears streamed down our faces.
"Thank you for stopping me."
"Of course." He took Levi out of the wrap and held him so close.
"I missed you guys so much."
"We missed you."
"Dada." Levi said.
"Yeah buddy." He said. I walked in to that airport broken and a abused person. When I left I was with my forever family.
