Chapter 30: Midnight swim

  Levi was crying and I was trying to calm him down. I struggled to get him to suck on the pacifier.
"It's ok baby." I rocked him. Kian walked in my room and took him. I rubbed my eyes. I glanced at the clock: 2:18 am. I took a deep breath.
"Shhh.." Kian soothed. I sat down and rubbed my temples.
"I don't need your help." I said. He didn't say anything, he just kept rocking him. He walked out to Levi's room and walked back in my room.
"Come on." He pointed to bed. I yawned and walked back over. He lifted up the covers and got in.
"Goodnight." He said as he walked out. I switched off the lamp and fell asleep.

  I had today off and I was spending the day at Steph and lena's then going out with Caroline. I was in bed feeding Levi. I stroked his head. I was laying on my side. Rain dripped down the windows. I always loved the rain. And the smell it gave.
"Are you working today?" Connor asked.
"No." I said.
"Are you ok?" He asked. My back was too him and he walked over.
"I'm just tired." I yawned.
"You want me to take him?"
"No he's eating."
"I made breakfast, you want me to save you some?"
"Yeah he's almost done I'll be down in a minute."
"Ok." He left. He finished eating and I sat up.
"Are you a happy boy now? I'm aways happy after i eat." He's almost a month old. Crazy how time flies. I changed his diaper and we walked downstairs.
"Morning." Ricky said.
"Good morning." Trevor greeted.
"Did you sleep well last night?" Kian asked.
"It was ok."
"Hey guys can i talk to Willa for a second?" Kian asked.
"Yeah."
"Yeah bro."
"Sure." They left.
"What?" I played with my food.
"Are you having postpartum depression?" He asked.
"I don't think so."
"Willa your not happy I see it in your eyes."
"I'm just stressed out. Raising Levi is not easy."
"I understand, we all help out with him. They guys and I are worried about you."
"I'm ok, Kian, I'm adjusting."
"Your good."
"Yes I'm good." I didn't fake smile. I gave him a real smile.
"Ok."
"I'm going out, I'll see you later."
"Bye." He rubbed Levi's head.
"Eggs are burning Connor!"
"Fuck!" He ran downstairs.

  I got in the car and drove to Steph and Lena's. I knocked on the door.
"Willa! So good to see you." Steph hugged me.
"Thanks for inviting me."
"Your very welcome." I walked in and we went to the kitchen. Mariana was chasing Liam around the backyard.
"Kids are home this weekend." She said.
"That's fun."
"Awe is this Levi?" She asked.
"It is."
"Can I hold him?"
"Absolutely." I set the car seat in the kitchen table and unbuckled him. She picked him up.
"He's precious." She said as she held him.
"He's my favorite." She laughed.
"Liam come here." Lena yelled.
"What?" He ran inside.
"This your nephew, Levi." Steph said.
"What's a nephew?" He asked. We laughed.
"Willa had a baby and that made you an uncle." Lena explained.
"Wow!" He looked at him.
"They look alike." Steph said.
"Do they?"
"Wrinkled forehead." Lena said. They smiled.
"I can babysit any time!" Lena said.
"Of course thank you."
"Lunch?" Steph asked.
"Please."

"But like do I date Red or keep my options open?" I was walking with Caroline and pushing Levi in the stroller. We were both eating icecream.
"I kinda think Kian has it for you." She said.
"No Kian just wants to help out."
"Levi could have been his."
"So."
"Don't act like he's just there. Willa he wanted to be a dad. Sam doesn't."
"I know."
"Red is a great guy but Kian loves you and always had."
"I just wish Connor wasn't gay." She laughed.
"Don't we all." He wasn't a bad looking guy.
"Ok but what about you and Jc."
"What about us?" She giggled.
"You sleep with him so much it's a miracle your not pregnant."
"Maybe I am." She stroked her stomach.
"I'm just kidding." She says.
"I was gonna say.."
"Say what?"
"It's not an easy road."
"Maybe in the future."
"But like are you guys thinking future wise." She shrugged.
"I don't know."
"He's a really great guy, Caroline."
"I know, that's why I love him so much." We laughed.
"Caroline!" We looked behind us and there was Jc.
"What are you doing here babe?" She asked.
"I got this for you." He had a huge snow cone.
"I can't eat all that."
"I'll share it with you."
"I don't really want some right now."
"Shit." Someone tripped behind us and I looked back but didn't see anyone.
"Please it's good."
"No."
"Cherry, your favorite."
"I don't wants some."
"Eat it!" He said. She laughed and took a bite.
"Ouch! Jc!" She bit something. She pulled out a ring. Jc got on one knee and I lost it I was in full tears. She covered her mouth.
"Caroline Ruth Kress, I can't go a day without thinking about you or kissing you. You make me so happy. I can't imagine life without you. Will you marry me?"
"Yeah!" She said. They embraced. He lifted her off the ground. I looked behind me and saw Trevor with a camera. As well as all the guys. Connor ran over with his arms open.
"They are perfect." I hugged him.
"They definitely are." He said. Ricky ran over and hugged me. Then Jc look the camera and Trevor hugged us. Kian grabbed Levi's and we all sat there hugging.
"You guys are my life!" Trevor said.
"I love you guys!" Ricky said.
"Love you too." We said. We laughed.
"Picture guys." Jc said. We all huddled up. Trevor held Levi and I was on Kian's back.
"Thank you." Jc said after the photo. He got the camera back and looked at the video.
"I love you so much." Caroline told him.
"I love you too." They kissed.
"All because I left my phone at home."
"We would have found each other along way." They kissed again.
"You wanna keep starring or kiss me?" Kian asked.
"Kian!" I hit his chest.
"Just a question." I laughed.

Back at the house we celebrated. I didn't have anything to drink cause I'm a mom but everyone else was having a great time. Trevor and I hung out with Levi.
"To the future mr. And mrs.!" Ricky cheered. They kissed.
"Offer still stands." Kian said.
"Maybe next century." I said.
"Ouch." He put a hand on his chest.
"I think we got rid of that PPD."
"I think you did too." He smiled. We cheered for Jc and Caroline. After a couple hours I started kicking them out.
"I'll see you later. Congratulations."
"Thank you." I hugged Jc.
"You break her heart and I'll break your arm." I told him.
"Shouldn't be a problem." He said.
"I love you." Caroline said.
"I love you too."
"Drive safe." Trevor took them home. I walked inside. Ricky and Connor walked upstairs. I walked outside to turn the pool lights off.
"Remember thanksgiving?" Kian asked from behind.
"Yeah. When we danced around the yard."
"That was fun."
"I can't wait for this year." He said.
"Me too."  I reached down to turn off the light but Kian pushed me in.
"What the fuck!?" I splashed water at him. He jumped in. He swam over. We were face to face. I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed me back. (Willa and Kian didn't know but Trevor, Ricky, and Connor were watching for a split second)
"I hate it when your sad." Kian said.
"Well I'm happy right now."
"How's that offer?"
"It's nice." I said. We laughed and kept kissing. He took off my pants. His hand reached for my shirt.
"I still have baby fat." I said.
"I don't give a fuck Willa." I laughed and he threw my wet shirt and the door. (That's when the guys left)
"Ever had pool sex?" He asked.
"Not with you." He kissed my neck.
"I do not care that you had a baby with one of my best friends because I can love you both." He said. I held his head to my chest.
"Levi needs to eat." I said.
"Trevor will get it." He says. He kissed me.
"Did I just ruin the mood?"
"No." He look my face.
"I love you Willa Carson."
