"Do I have to?" I groan and look in the mirror at my best friend. "Yep."

"Is there any possible way to get out of it?"

"Nope." She pops the p and smirks. "Go my child. I'm heading home." She walks out of the house and leaves me standing in my entryway, judging my outfit. A final nod and quiet pep talk and I was out the door and on my way to the restaurant. "Um.. table for er.. Two?"

"Is your date already here, miss?"

"I'm not sure.." I blushed and looked down, slightly embarrassed. "I see. Take a seat and I'll be with you shortly." I nodded and sat down in a small chair, waiting. Soon, a girl dressed in skinny jeans and a leather jacket opened the door. "Table for two." She leaned against the small podium as she spoke, her sunglasses dropping slightly down her nose. This girl was absolutely stunning. "Name?"

"Gunn. Lynn Gunn." She spoke confidently. Wait, Lynn Gunn? "Excuse me.." I tapped her shoulder and she turned slightly, "Well hello there, gorgeous. Need something?" She smirked and raised an eyebrow at me. "I'm your date." She smiled and took my hand, "Well, join me for dinner then?" I followed her to a small booth and watched her slip off her glasses and attach them to the front of her shirt. I already liked so many things about her. She held perfect eye contact when we spoke, smiling when she talked about something she was passionate about. I've never felt 'love at first sight' but I think this is it. All too soon the date ended and she walked me outside. "Need a ride?" She held me close to her to keep me from getting too cold. "Yes, please." I looked up at her and she chuckled, "So polite you are. My bike's over here." She handed me what I assumed was her spare helmet and had me climb on behind her. "Don't you need this?"

"For what?"

"To protect your head." She laughed as I wrapped my arms around her waist. "I'd rather have you safe before worrying about myself."

"Reckless." I mumbled. She turned her head slightly to look at me before continuing down the street. "That's what makes life exciting."

"Or what gets you hurt."

"My life is dangerous. And I am reckless. But trust me. No moment with me with be anything but exciting." We both went silent, but it wasn't awkward at all. I leaned my head onto the back of her shoulder and heard her hum softly and before I knew it we were at my house and she was walking me to the door. "I had a wonderful evening." She smiled down at me as I fumbled for my keys, lost in her gaze. "So did I."

"I'll plan the second date." She smirked and I raised an eyebrow. "What makes you think you'll get a second date?" She leaned down and pecked my lips, "Well, (Y/N), I would just hope I would get to spend some more time with you."

"You'll have to call me sometime and find out." I smiled and kissed her cheek before walking inside.

~Time Skip~

She did get that second date. Many more after that. Months later and we're still going strong. I hadn't seen her for a few days though because her bike had broken down. Tonight was a night I needed her most. "Hey.." She whispered into the phone, hoping to not wake up her housemate. "Hi.." I said quietly, sadness lacing my words. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing.. It's nothing.." I sighed, practically hearing her roll her eyes. "That's bullshit."

"And if it is?"

"Just tell me what's wrong, (Y/N)." I hung up the phone. If only it was that simple to tell her. I honestly don't even know what's wrong myself. As the minutes turned into an hour without me replying or calling back she began to spam my phone. I shut it off and went to bed, hoping morning would be better and everything would be fixed. I awoke to the sound of soft breathing and warmth of someone else lying in my bed. Her arms were wrapped around me and her head rested gently against my own. I looked around my room to find her jacket hanging on my chair and her boots next to the window. "Lynn..?" I shook her arm gently and she smiled when she saw me there. "Good morning. How are you feeling?" I looked up at her, "When did you get here?"

"Late.." She kissed my forehead and I smiled, closing my eyes and snuggling closer to her. "How did you even get in?"

"Through the window. Duh. Couldn't exactly knock on the door at two in the morning and wake you up. You weren't answering my texts or calls. I knew you needed me here more than over the phone."

"Did you walk here?" She rubbed my back gently, humming as she did so, "Yeah..."

"Lynn, that's dangerous." She smirked and rolled her eyes, "You never learn, do you?"

"I guess not.." I laid my head on her chest and listened as she sang softly. "I love you..." I whispered, hoping she wouldn't hear, but she stopped anyway. "Say that again?" I stood up quickly and made my way to the door, "I um.. wanted to know what you wanted for breakfast?" She stood, it was obvious she slept in the clothes she had on when she got here. The dark jeans and tank top were proof. "That's not what you said.." She laced her fingers with my own, knowing the comfort it brought me, "Say it again.."

"I.. I love you.." I looked down at my feet, waiting for her response, hoping it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. She lifted my chin with her finger and shook her head at me. "Never hide your feelings from me. Ever." She kissed me slowly, but passionately. "I love you, (Y/N). I promise you I do. That feeling will never change." Her arms found their way around my waist and mine up and around her neck. "And I may be reckless, but I would never be reckless with your heart. You are my world. My melody. And my muse for all the love songs I write." She smiled at me, leaning down to rest her forehead against my own. "I want to be yours until the air is gone from my lungs and my heart no longer beats. I love you, (Y/N). For now. And for all eternity." She didn't know how much those words meant to me. How much she meant to me. She was right when she said risk is what made life exciting because she's my risk and I can't see a life with her as anything boring. "Please stay.." I whispered, connecting our lips. "There's no place I'd rather be.."
