I've found people are fascinated by love stories. They want stories of knights and princesses. The damsel in distress that needs saving by the attractive warrior. They fall in love. Happily ever after. I wish I could tell you this is a perfect love story, that it was forged in the stars. This story, well, it's about a grounder warrior who is the brother of the great Commander of the 12 clans, I guess 13 now, and a mechanic from space. Happily ever after? Yeah right. Where do I start? The beginning is probably appropriate considering I promised a full story. I'll start with this, I'm (Y/N) kom Trikru, Commander Lexa's brother. I'm a Nightblood like Lexa, but the only two people who know that besides myself are Lexa and Titus. I'm assuming you didn't come here to hear my whole life story. You probably want to hear about the girl, the space mechanic. Well, her name is Raven Reyes. I met her the night of Finn Collins' death.

"We are what we are." My sister spat at the skygirl I learned was named Clarke. Her red cape was flowing behind her like the waves I had seen the last time I visited Luna. "Can.. Can I at least say goodbye?" Lexa gave her nod and I watched as the girl stabbed Finn right in the heart. I smirked at her guts, not many people would cross Lexa. She was powerful, but I could tell she felt for the girl. "Sister.." I placed my hand on her shoulder and offered her a knowing smile, "I am not weak." She growled and I shook my head, laughing. "Accompany Clarke kom Skaikru back to Arkadia. That's an order." I rolled my eyes and walked out of the tent, calling my horse as the blonde walked up to me. "I'm to accompany you home. Would you like to walk or ride Ares?" The horse lifted his head at the sound of his name and the girl smiled at me, "I've never ridden a horse before.." I smiled back at her and helped her on the horse, "Just hold on. He's gentle. Did your clan really come from the stars?" She nodded and I looked at her in wonder, "Your sister.. The Commander. Is she always like that?" I shrugged and laughed a little, "Basically." She laughed with me and on the walk back to her camp we were quick to become friends. "I..I'm not supposed to go in.." She climbed off the horse and shook her head, patting Ares as she did. "Come on. He needs something to drink. So do you." She chuckled, grabbing my hand and pulling me through the camp, Ares trotting behind us and glancing at his surroundings. "Octavia! Take care of his horse for me?" I came face to face with a girl I had seen around many times. "(Y/N)!" She grinned, pulling me close, "It's been awhile, O."

"So it has, (Y/N)." She said her goodbyes and made promises of visiting me in Polis as Clarke pulled me off to somewhere that seemed so.. Different from what I was used to. "This is the Ark. It's where we lived when we were.. Yanno.. Up in space." She smiled at me as I stared in wonder at the various machines and monitors that littered the interior. "You murdering bitch!" A voice boomed, bouncing off of the plain grey metal walls that contrasted with the newcomer's dirty red jacket. "Raven I-" Clarke was cut off by a slap to the face and I moved forward before Clarke put her hand on my chest. "Why did you bring one of them here?" Her words were dipped in venom but her voice carried a melody that I never wanted to stop hearing, even at its angriest. "Le.. Their Commander had him escort me back. He's her brother." I stood in pride at the title. I was the Commander's brother, someone to be looked up to, admired, even feared by our people. Raven however, well, she spit in my face. "Fuck you. Fuck your sister. Fuck the whole damn grounder army that took away my only family!" She made every attempt to shove me back, but I stood still, my heart aching in a way that I didn't understand because this person I had merely met moments before hated me with every fiber of her being. I let her hit me and yell at me before she collapsed and sobbed into my chest. I paused at the contact before hesitantly putting my arms around the girl, "This.. This Finn. He was yours?"

"We weren't together. Anymore. He's all I had. And you and your sister took him away from me. Don't fucking talk to me." She pushed me off of her and walked out the door quickly. "That's Raven Reyes. Youngest Zero G Mechanic in 50 years. She's confident and sarcastic when you get to know her. She's something else though." Clarke offered me a smile and I adjusted my armor, wiping at the tears of Raven's that had fallen onto my neck.
