It's been three days since I left that god awful camp. The only person I can say I miss is Octavia, but I got pretty damn tired of Princess running the place. So, I left. Plain and simple. Oh, yeah, and I got captured by grounders. I did kill a couple though, I mean hey, guys coming at me with spears what else am I supposed to do? It didn't exactly seem like the situation to have a peaceful conversation and go out for a coffee. I probably wouldn't have ended up here though. "You even look at her the wrong way and there will be problems." I rolled my eyes and followed the guy who was about a foot taller than me and way more muscular. "Commander, this is the prisoner." She nodded and I looked up at her from where I had been forced to kneel on the floor. Yeah, it's about as comfortable as it sounds, "Oh you're the commander? Super badass, beautiful." The brick building of a man shoved me, growling in my ear, "Do you have a death wish?" I didn't bother turning but forced the biggest smile on my face and responded with, "Me? Yeah. Have had one for a while. Thanks for noticing, buddy." For a split second I swear I saw the Commander smirk in amusement. "What do you want us to do with her?"
"It is almost night. Leave her with me, I will supervise her."
"But Comman-"
"Enough. Come with me, prisoner." She walked out of the room and after struggling to stand with these god awful homemade handcuffs on, I followed her to what I assumed was her tent. "What is your name?"
"(Y/N). Yours?"
"Lexa." She responded. Quick and to the point. I like it. "Would you mind taking these handcuffs off?" She didn't look at me, "Why? So you can escape?"
"No, so I can wash my blood caked body and hopefully get some sleep. I'll sleep on the floor if you wish, your highness." She walked over and took the handcuffs off of me. "Bath is in there. You may sleep in the bed." I nodded and stripped myself of my clothes before sitting in the hot water. Man, I'm captive here and it's ten times better than being at camp. After removing all of the dirt and blood I got out and dried myself, before laying in bed next to the commander. "Thanks for not, you know, torturing me or whatever." She merely nodded before we both fell asleep. Once again, my dreams were my own personal hell and I was shook awake. "Are you alright?" I sat up and rubbed my face. "Just a nightmare. I'm fine." She looked almost concerned for me, "Why the hell do you care anyway? I'm your fucking prisoner for gods sakes!"
"I suppose you are right.." She rolled over and went back to sleep, but I stayed awake. I refuse to return to that pit of repressed memories. The next few days were spent sitting next to Lexa's throne or following her around to "make sure I didn't escape", but something felt off. The way she looked at me wasn't as if she was keeping me prisoner, but keeping me near her because she cared for me. "Commander, members of Skaikru are here to question you about a missing.." Gustus, I learned his name like yesterday, trailed off as he looked at me. Soon, I saw two familiar faces. "Octavia!" I yelled and jumped up to hug her tightly. "Oh, (Y/N), thank god we found you!" That phrase was said by none other than Clarke Griffin. "Woah there, Princess. Miss me?" I smirked and she rolled her eyes, "As if."
"Blake the Badass came all the way here to rescue me. My hero." I smiled. Lexa looked at the three of us, "It is getting late. The two of you will be given tents." She walked out and I followed her, "Lexa? You okay?" She looked back at me, but shook her head before continuing off. "(Y/N)?" Octavia questioned, "I'll uh... try to visit later. I want to make sure she's okay.." I ran off to the tent I had classified as home since I had been here. Lexa was inside, removing her warpaint and armor. "She makes you happy, yes?"
"Who?"
"The Blake girl." She glanced at me over her shoulder and I stopped to admire her. "Well, I mean yeah. She's my best friend. I've known her forever."
"Do you feel something more for her?"
"For Octavia? No! She's like my sister. That would be so weird." I shook my head to shake the thought out of my brain. Wait, was the Commander jealous? "Are you.. Jealous of Octavia?"
"What? No.. You two just seemed.. Close.." She stood and I walked towards her. "Like this close?" I wrapped my arms around her waist and a deep red tint flooded her cheeks. "Yes.." She nodded, "But not.. This close.." She leaned in and kissed me and I felt butterflies in the pit of my stomach. Well, let's be honest, more like fireworks. "Do you feel something more for me, (Y/N)?" I nodded and looked deep into her eyes. "Well, that's good.. Because.. I think I am weak for you."
"You.. You love me?" I smiled as she pulled me closer. "Yes.. I fell for your quick wit the day you were brought to me.." She looked away and I turned her head back, kissing her once more. "I love you, Lexa." She smiled up and me and I kissed her forehead. "Let's sleep." I looked at her in fear, "I uh.. Don't sleep." She pulled me down onto the bed with her and held me close. She kissed my forehead gently and whispered, "I'll keep you safe. I love you too."
