"We must patrol this camp. If you see anyone leave, follow and kill them." I nodded, taking my orders and walking around to the side of the camp. I waited at my post for a few minutes before spotting a young blonde girl. I ran up to her and grabbed her from behind. She froze in my grasp and I stared into her deep blue eyes. Something about her intrigued me. "Shhh. Come with me. Quickly." Disobeying orders for a sky girl. What's wrong with me? I continued to lead her to my home and let her in. "We're staying here until the sun starts to fade."
"Why.." She looked up at me and I looked away. "I was given orders to kill anyone I saw leave your camp. I saved you."
"Why would you save me?" I shrugged and went back to tending the fire that provided the only light in the small structure. She laid down on my bed and began to ask me questions. "My name is (Y/N). What is yours?"
"Clarke. You speak english?"
"It would seem so." She smiled up at me and I sat down with my book and began to draw. "You draw too?" I nodded, "Remain still, please. At least until I am finished." She blushed slightly, realizing I was drawing her, "Deal. But it's your turn next." I rolled my eye and finished sketching her. I had been watching that camp for many days and had never come across someone as beautiful as her. When she took her turn with my book she stared at me with wonder and determination. "I've never been this close to a grounder without some weapon being pointed at me. You could have killed me back there. Why didn't you?" I just stared at her, "I am not sure." she nodded slowly and I sat next to her to admire her beauty once more and to stare at the drawing she made. Our portraits stood side by side together and she stared up at me, "Do you like it?" I nodded, "I do. You have talent."
"That's all I could do on the Ark once they imprisoned us. Just draw what I thought Earth would be like."
"Is it everything you imagined?" She laughed and shook her head, "Not at all, but either way it's beautiful."
"As are you, Clarke." She blushed and looked away. "If you would like to go back to your camp I can take you there now."
"Will I see you again?"
"If you wish to. Just come back here. My home is closer to your camp than it is to grounder camp." She smiled at me and we walked back to her camp. She turned to look at the gate, but then kissed my cheek, "May we meet again." I smiled, waiting to leave until she shut the gate behind her. We met many times after this, taking walks together, sketching in my home. She showed me a few hidden places underground she liked to stay and I showed her some of my favorite places to just sit and admire the nature around me. We would always sit and talk. She would talk about her space home and her descent from the stars and I would tell her how I was trained as a warrior from a young age. She would always find some way to be touching me when we were together, whether her head was leaned against my shoulder or her hand was in mine, we always were touching in some way. I began to fall in love with her. In her entirety she was absolutely perfect to me. We never really discussed these feelings however, we knew neither of our tribes would approve, but I would even join Skaikru if that's what she wished of me. I am already sure that many of my fellow warriors question why I am always gone. They look at me as a traitor, but I don't mind that. I waited outside my home for Clarke, as she told me the previous day she wanted to go walking with me. "Where to today?" She smiled up at me as she reached for my hand, "Would you like to see a waterfall?" She nodded, her eyes filling with the familiar wonder she always had to see the world. We walked hand in hand talking like we normally did. Even the silences between us were comfortable. I thought I heard something move in the trees, or maybe a branch snapping, "Did you hear that?" She looked around and shook her head. I shrugged it off and we made our way to the waterfall. "Want to swim?" She laughed and took off her clothes, jumping into the water. I followed her in and we splashed around, laughing, smiling, as if the world was ours. She pulled me close to her and leaned in, but just before our lips touched a branch snapped. Her eyes opened wide with fear and we ran out of the water, hurriedly getting dressed. We ran towards her camp, "I'm sorry our date was ruined." She smiled at me as her hair flew behind her, "So it was a date?" I smiled back at her and we reached her camp, "Come back to see me soon." She kissed my cheek and I whispered softly, "May we meet again?" she turned her head and smiled at me, "May we meet again." I waited for her to enter the camp and I was hit on the head from behind. When I awoke I was restrained and faced with another member of Skaikru. This one a tall man who looked muscular. "What were you doing with Clarke?" I didn't answer him. I was met with with a belt slamming into my abdomen. It hurt, but I've felt worse. This form of questioning continued for hours until I heard someone slamming against a small hatch. "Bellamy, open this door damn it!" I smiled briefly, recognizing the voice. He opened the hatch and Clarke stepped in followed by two other girls. She looked at me. My body was covered in cuts, bruises, and burns from the torture I had received. "What the fuck are you doing?" She screamed, shoving the taller boy, "Protecting you!" He shouted back at her. "From what, Bellamy?" He pointed at me and I looked up at the two of them, "I wouldn't ever hurt her." I spoke. His eyes widened, I hadn't answered a single question her had asked. "Octavia. Raven. Untie her."
"This is like Lincoln all over again." Octavia mumbled. "Lincoln.." I mumbled. "You are the one Lincoln speaks of. Octavia?" She smiled at me and nodded. "You look pretty beat up, dude. Clarke will take you down to med bay and fix you up though." The other girl, I assumed was Raven, said. "Thank you." I stood and Clarke walked over to me, hugging me tightly. I winced slightly but hugged her back, thankful to have her in my arms again. "What is this.." Bellamy asked. "I love her. I love a grounder. A grounder that you tortured just for being seen near me." She snapped at him and he left. She left me down a ladder and onto a small table before cleaning my wounds and stitching them up. "I'm so sorry.." She whispered, tears filling her eyes. "It's not your fault, Clarke. It isn't." She laid next to me on the table and I rolled onto my side. "What you said to that boy.. Bellamy.. Did you mean it?" She looked up at me and bit her lip gently before speaking, "Yes. I did. I love you, (Y/N)." I pulled her closer to me and smiled, "I love you too, Clarke. I wished on a shooting star and what I received was a love more glorious than any wish. I fell in love with my girl from the stars." She smiled, tears running down her face and kissed me gently, holding onto me as if at any moment I could disappear from her grasp. "Stay with me.." She whispered into the kiss. I pulled away for a brief moment, "I'll never leave you. That is a promise."
