"You're polar opposites, Clarke!" I could practically hear Abby yelling at my girlfriend from down the hall. My lip was busted and my eye was bruising. I debated whether or not to continue into med bay or walk back home, but knew Clarke would be pretty upset if I didn't come to her first. I knocked lightly on the doorway after the glass slid open. Clarke and Abby both turned to look at me and I half-smiled at my worried girlfriend, "Hey, princess.." I limped over to her, wincing in pain. "What happened?" she wrapped an arm around my waist and led me over to one of the medical beds. "You should see the other guy.." She rolled her eyes and pushed past her mother for some sutures. "Stupid boys always getting into fights." She sighed as her mother turned and walked off in anger. "Yeah, but I've got an amazing girl who patches me up after." I got her to smile a little before she turned her back to me, her shoulders dropping. "The usual?" I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me, resting my head on her shoulder. "I'm assuming you heard?" Tears dripped down her face and I felt my heart break at the sight. "I did. We'll make it through all this, princess. I promise." She wiped at her eyes before turning and wrapping her arms around my neck, "At least my dad likes you. She says we're opposites, but have you seen them?" I kissed her forehead and chuckled, "In the same room? No, your mother would honestly float me for existing if she could." She hit my shoulder lightly and grinned, "Don't joke about that. And quit getting into fights with John Murphy, Mr. Badass." I raised an eyebrow questioningly, almost asking her how she knew it was him. She took my hand and pulled me after her, "That is how the argument started, my prince. Jonathan got here before you did." I followed her to her room, "My prince? Really Clarke?" I laughed at her as she pulled me through the halls, blonde hair whipping behind her as she practically ran, "You call me princess. It fits." Her laughter was infectious and I pulled her closer to me as we reached the door. I kissed her deeply, but she pulled away and put a finger to my lips as she opened the door. We walked quietly to almost the edge of the wall separating the entrance from Jake's little office space. We listened as Clarke squeezed my hand tightly. The Ark was dying and Jake wanted to come forward, but Abby told him he would get floated and that he shouldn't do it. "Jake, if you can't do this for me, do it for Clarke." A deafening silence took over the room and I swear I could almost feel the tension in the room. "I am doing this for Clarke." Clarke walked slowly over to the door, opened it, and slammed it shut again to alert them of our presence. She tugged me into the living room, pulling me in fast for a kiss. I didn't understand what she was doing until I heard the door slam again and turned to see only Jake standing there with us. "Hello, (Y/N)." He chuckled, obviously amused at the dark red colour my cheeks were turning. "Dad, I want to help." His eyes went from bright and shining to slightly scared. "Clarke, this isn't your fight to start." I saw the determination in her eyes. It was the same look I saw in Jake's eyes just then, they were mirror images of each other having a conversation only in glances. "I'll help you too. I work closely with a lot of the working force on the Ark. I'll spread the information." I spoke up, watching as both of their heads snapped towards me. Jake sighed and rubbed his face with his hands. He picked up a cup of coffee and took a couple sips before looking at us. "If we're going to do this, you need to know exactly what's going on. Come here." Clarke grinned in victory and pulled me over to his desk, her arms wrapped tightly around my waist as he spoke. With that the plan was in motion and I worked with Jasper and Monty to try and work out some way to spread it without mass panic. "Why do you even wanna tell them? We're all gonna die anyways." Jasper laid on the floor as Monty was sprawled out on his bed. "They deserve to know. I'm just trying to do the right thing for.." I sighed and leaned forward in my chair, "For Clarke. You're trying to do the right thing and be her superhero." Monty laughed and stared up at the ceiling, "(Y/N), guys like us don't save the world. We don't get happily ever afters. We're the troublemakers." Jasper looked up at me with sadness in his eyes, "I wanna do the right thing for once. I'll see you guys around." I slammed the door shut to the Green residence and made my way to Clarke's room. I turned the hall quick enough to see the guard outside, knocking on the door. "Excuse me, I need to get in here." I pushed past and opened the door almost closing it behind me, but the guard pushed in behind me. "Jake and Clarke Griffin. You're under arrest for spreading classified information to the general public." They put Jake in handcuffs and I saw the terror and tears in Clarke's eyes as she fought and pushed to get away from the officers and to her dad. "Stop! She had nothing to do with this. It was all me. I helped him." I shoved my way to her, kissing her one last time before whispering in her ear, "I love you, princess. May we meet again." I let myself be led away to lock-up with tears in my eyes. They shoved me into my room and I walked over to look out the window, seeing Earth in all of it's colors. It felt like years before her first visit. I heard a knock on the cell door, "(Y/L/N). Someone to see you." I raised an eyebrow and sat up in bed, leaning my head against the wall. "Let em in." I figured it was Monty or Jasper or maybe my dad coming to tell me what a dumbass I was, but as soon as that door opened I jumped out of bed and pulled Clarke close to me. "I can't believe she actually let you come see me." I felt tears falling down her face and she shoved me back once, twice, three times before she spoke. "How stupid are you? You're seventeen! You barely have a year before you get floated. You're so stupid!" She paced in front of me running her fingers through her hair as she sighed. "I wasn't gonna let you end up in here. I was protecting you."
